Chapter 21 (version Eren)

The two of us strutted to the gym and exited through the back doors of the school, Eren holding the door for me.

He still had an arm around my waist as he led us to the meeting spot, his head held high.

Seconds later, the bullies were in sight.

But there were more than eight.

1, 2, 3, 4... 15?! How could there be 15 people here just to beat the two of us up. Why did they even care?

I'll be honest, I didn't think Eren could take on one of the teenagers, much less 15 all at once.

Eren quickly reassessed the situation and held me closer to him.

"You boys ready?" Eren asked, mimicking Levi's confidence..

"Obviously," Ryan responded. "We only came to hurt her, we don't want to cause any bystander injuries if we don't have to. So this is your warning to step away."

I could feel Eren tense up next to me.

"Bring it on, asshole."

He left my side to assume Annie's fighting position. He must have some sort of plan here. I hope.

All 15 of them charged us at once. There was no way he could fend them all off and away from me alone.

Eren yelled and charged at the boys, only to be held back moments later, as was I.

If my hands weren't held behind my back, I would facepalm.

Jake pulled something out of his backpack. Shit! It's my diary!

"Let's have some fun, shall we?"
