Since I sat in the back anyways, there were two extra seats, one on either side of me. One for Eren and one for Jean.
Luckily, the teacher was super sweet and did everything she could to catch my friends up to what we were learning today: graphing parabolas.
Oh fun.
Normally, I would love math. But I couldn't stand it in this environment. I'm fine when I work on my own, but in a classroom there are too many distractions.
That's when I felt something hit my forehead. I looked down on my desk to find a crumpled sheet of paper.
"Let me see that," Jean growled.
He took the paper ball from my desk and opened it up. His face turned beet red in anger.
He smirked.
He ripped a large piece of paper out of his notebook and scribbled out a note back.
He threw it at the guy's, Jake's, head.
As nice as the teacher is, she is pretty oblivious.
"What did it say?" I whispered.
"You don't wanna know."
"Well, what did you say back?"
"'You really don't wanna know.'"
My eyes widened in fear. I get that Jean is a badass and can beat up almost anyone, but can he take on a group of eight or so insane teenagers?
Honestly, teenagers scare the living shit out of me.
I suddenly grinned to myself. It was nice to have someone that stood up for me when that kind of stuff happened. I really like having Jean around.
I silently grabbed his hand under the desks and squeezed it as a thank you for doing that sort of thing. He squeezed back and turned to grin at me.
Wow. He had a perfect smile.
Wait. Am I falling in love with a horse?
