Nothing more, nothing less

We walked into the clinic hand in hand, and I became nervous. The place was full of people, children and their parents. We came in five minutes late and I panicked to Hunter that we would miss our appointment.

"Relax, we'll still get in, don't worry." Was his obvious answer to my paranoia.

We sit down in the nearest seats, and I began to shake nervously. I wasn't exactly sure why, but I just wasn't able to keep calm. Hunter could tell, and immediately held onto my hand. "It's not like there's gonna be something wrong, don't fret about this. Alright?" He kissed my temple, and my worries seemed to ease slightly.

I squeeze his hand tightly, not to where it would hurt him, but to where I knew he wasn't going to go anywhere. My head slowly sunk down and laid against his shoulder, and I breathed in his scent, taking in my surroundings. The light green color of the room seemed to glisten in the sunlight that peaked through the windows, and the light baby blue carpet clashed with the color of the walls. But it made me smile.

I see mothers scattered around the large waiting room, all of them looking frazzled and frustrated with the small children they kept their eyes glued too.

"You know, it may have been a mistake at the time, but you'll be happy about it when she comes. You may regret the foolish action you committed, but you will still love her." I hear a person say from my right with a scratchy, old voice.

I look over and see a little old lady sitting next to me, eyes as green as Harry's and hair as white and fluffy as snow. "Excuse me?" I replied to her, confused.

She motions to my belly. "You're baby. You're young, probably a teenager, right? Probably got caught up in a moment with the boy you thought you loved. It happens, you made a mistake, but you'll love her with all your heart." She smiled at me sweetly, and I could tell she didn't mean anything against me, but I was sure to correct her.

"Ma'am, I'm not a teenager. I'm twenty-one, I'm married, and I don't think I love my husband, I do love my husband. But he isn't a boy, he's a man." I whisper to her, returning the nice smile.

Leaning forward, Hunter smiles at her with his charming half smile and waves slightly. The little lady smiles even more, if that were possible, and nods her head. "I'm pleased to hear that. You seem like lovely people, and will make beautiful parents." She nods her head at us in a nice way, squinting her eyes from smiling so much.

Hunter kisses my temple, then looks back to the lady. "Thank you, ma'am."

Before a conversation could float through the air, I heard my name being called.

"Siana Hayes?" I hear Doctor Hadley call for me.

Hunter instantly stood to his feet, holding a hand out to help me up. We said goodbye to the lady, and made our way towards the doctor. Standing in a door way while reading off a clip board, I see a woman with soft flowing red curls, framing her heart shaped face and gentle features, and bright green eyes that stood out against her skin color who I identified as my doctor.

Hunter clears his throat to get her attention, and she looks up at us. "Dear, you look wonderful." She hugs me, and I laugh, letting go of Hunter's hand to hug her back. She was a great doctor, and also a good hugger.

She pulls away and looks at my belly. "How is the baby? Is it kicking yet?" She asks as she looked back up at me, eyes sparkling with her smile.

As her eyes sparkled, mine widened. "Kicking? No, no kicking. Should she be kicking? Should I worry? Oh my gosh." I began to panic and look at Hunter, ready to cry as he also looked worried.

"No, no, no. Don't worry to much, dear. Between four and five months is when the kicking will start. I suggest you don't worry." She places a hand on my shoulder, and my worries melt away. Hunter grabs onto my hand again in relief, sighing.
