One Month Later
Siana’s P.O.V.
“Siana!”
“Elena!”
Elena and I greet each other with bone crushing hugs, laughing in delight. In the corner of my eye I could see Trevor and Hunter shaking hands, only out of slight respect they have for each other. More like out of the respect Hunter has for Trevor, and the value Trevor has for me. In all honesty he probably thought, and still thinks, that Hunter and I were insane for getting married young.
“It’s been to long!” Elena pulls away to look at me, while my eyes fall down to her stomach. It was confirmed that she is pregnant; she just isn’t far enough along to show yet.
“I know!” I say back, realizing I had drifted off into my thoughts for a moment.
Trevor clears his throat. “Let’s get a seat, shall we?” He asks, motioning to the sea of seats and chairs with his outstretched arm.
We all nod, and I watch as Elena migrates to Trevor’s arm. Hunter and I also migrate to each other, letting our fingers tangle together. The other day Michael had called and said we needed to talk. We being Mason, Trevor, him, and myself. I had no idea what it was about, but it had to be important since he got reservations to a five star restaurant.
The four of us awkwardly sit at the table for a few minutes, until I see Mason and Mallory walk in, scanning their eyes over everyone. When I put a hand up, signaling where we were, he and Mallory both smile as they made their way over to us, linking arms.
“Long time no see, for real.” Mason says, pulling a chair out for Mallory.
He soon takes his place next to her, leaving the two chairs that were next to me. We all exchanged hellos and smiles with each other for a few seconds. The conversation soon drifted into how New England was for Mallory, being accepted into Brown and all. She confirmed that it was an amazing opportunity, but that she would soon be graduating. The joy that was shining in Mason’s eyes was indescribable, and it was then that I understood how much the long distance relationship was killing him. Just by the look that he gave off.
After about twenty awkward minutes of playing footsie with the person in front of us accidentally, Michael and his girlfriend, Riley, had arrived, we were finally able to order. I could hear the hungered growls that Elena’s stomach was making, and I had tried my very best to stifle a laugh, only because I understood how she felt from my own experience. With that thought, my mind drifted off to how Maria was handling Alana, Destin and Evan all at once. I’m sure she was fine, seeing as she wasn’t texting me or Elena, freaking out.
“So, Mike, what’s up?” Mason asks, taking a bite of his pasta dish.
He’s silent for a minute, and we all watch as he and Riley toy with their food, not uttering a word. Soon, I feel the tension that swept in like a title wave as Trevor slams his hand down on the table, scaring Elena and I to death.
“Please, for the love of God, Mike, don’t tell us that she’s pregnant.” He growls, gently motioning to Riley.
Everyone’s eyes widen as we look at Riley, whose face was now red as a tomato. Michael jumps from his seat, shaking his head and hands back and forth.
“No! No, oh my gosh, no! Wait, what? Do you always assume the worst in me?!”
Trevor face softens, but he doesn’t smile. I glance at Hunter quickly and see that he was switching his attention to everyone else, and his eyes were wide with shock and surprise. Everyone stares at each other, as well as a few other people from around the restaurant, all of us too nervous to break the silence. The painfully awkward silence, might I add.
I clear my throat, and everyone immediately snaps their head in my direction. “So, then what’re we all here for?”
Michael looks over at Riley as he slips his hand under the table, smiling. We all stare at them, and eventually, he pulls something up from under the white cloth that draped off the tables, and onto all our laps. Elena, Mallory and I all gasp and awe at the diamond that was connected to the gold band of her ring finger.
“We’re getting married!” She exclaims, biting her bottom lip gently.

“Well, that was a bit surprising.” Hunter mumbles as we enter our home, Alana fast asleep in my arms.I simply shrug my shoulders. “I saw it coming.” I say.
He looks at me, and soon starts laughing. “No you didn’t.”
I roll my eyes, somehow being able to snap my fingers. “You got me.” I laughed softly.
We go our separate ways in the house. Hunter walked around and made sure all the windows and doors were locked, as usual, while I take Alana upstairs for bed. She woke up when I changed her diaper and clothing, but was soon back to sleep as soon as I laid her down in the crib. Hunter comes in just as I was pulling a thin sheet over her small body, and he captures me in his arms before I could exit the room.
“She’s so beautiful.” I whisper, both of us staring down at her.
“Just like you.” He whispers back, kissing my cheek.
I blush lightly, smiling. He holds me from behind, and we stand in perfect silence. Truthfully I liked the silence. We were able to just be in each other’s presence, and that’d be enough.
After a few minutes we both leave to go get ready for bed, and I felt more comfortable in my baggy pajama pants and tank top than I did in the dress. We settle down on the bed in each other’s arms, still silent, almost like we didn’t have anything to talk about. But I realized it wasn’t necessarily a bad thing. It just meant we weren’t hiding anything from the other, since our silence was extremely comfortable. All until he spoke, that is.
“Hey Siana?”
I flicker my eyes open, setting my gaze on his closed eyelids. “Hunt?”
A small smile appears on his lips. “I love you, sweetie.”
I lay my head back down on his chest, smiling. “I love you too, Hunt.”
