Chapter Four
Little Prince
Felix's POV:
"Ugh," I groaned and I blinked my eyes open to look into the sunlit front room of my house before immediately closing them as the room began to spin with me seemingly at it's center. a knot formed in my stomach and forced it way up as I fought it down, desperately trying not to puke on the floor of one of the only clean rooms in this damn house.
I groaned and tried to roll over, managing to get onto my side and then onto all fours. Standing, not an option, but crawling I could do.
I blinked every so often at I forced my protesting limbs to carry me towards the bathroom so that I wouldn't make a mess all over the loving room floor. I could feel bile rising to the back of my throat as I moved at an agonizing pace across the floor.
I almost, almost, breathed a sigh of relief when my head hit the bathroom door and I reached up to twist the knob open. The last three feet to the toilet sucked but I made it and proceeded to wrap myself around the bowl before dry heaving bile and stomach acid into the once pristine porcelain throne.
After a few minutes my body calmed and I was left with a bitter taste in my mouth and a burning in my throat and nose, but at least the heaving had stopped.
I gave my body another minute or two, making sure my vision was now focused to avoid another vomit marathon. I breathed up and closed the seat before pulling the leaver and flushing my sparse stomach contents down the toilet. Using the bowl and a kind of support, I slowly heaved myself off of the floor and into a sitting position on it's surface.
I cringed as I caught a look at my self in the mirror and sighed. What little semblance of being put together I had achieved this morning was gone. My hair was not a complete mess and I still looked dead on the inside. Might as well look the way we feel though, right?
I reached over to the holder that contained my toothpaste and toothbrush and got to work removing the foul taste of stomach acid from my mouth. It took a few minutes and multiple rounds of rising and re applying the minty paste to get the clean feeling I desired.
I thoroughly rinsed my toothbrush in the sink and check to make sure there was no other mess before flicking the light off and making my way into the kitchen to find something to sip on. A quick glance at the stove let me know I still had a couple of hours before I needed to be at the school to retrieve Michael.
I opened the cabinet I has designated for my tea and let out a frustrated sigh.
"Empty, of course it's empty." I muttered and turned myself around.
I made my way to the front door and reached to open it when I remembered the events from earlier that had triggered my little attack in the first place. My hand froze on the nob and I leaned over and gave the area surrounding my car a thorough once over before flipping the lock and opening the door.
It only took one trip to get everything from the car and for that I was grateful. I sorted through the groceries and checked to see if anything needed tossed after having sat in the car all morning but luckily I had avoided purchasing many frozen or dairy items. I put everything away and made my self a cup of herbal honey and chamomile tea.
I finished off the tea and set my cup in the sink. I decided to clean up my mess form this morning's breakfast but no cleaning will get done by me without a little music to kill the monotony of it all. I turned my phone on and plugged it in to make sure the battery wouldn't die before selecting a playlist of Disney songs to keep myself entertained for the next half hour or so.
