Hey guys! Here's the new update. I hope you enjoy it.Candice's POV
As soon as I saw Harry standing outside my classroom, I recalled that he wanted to take me out for a coffee. I almost forgot it.
"Hey Candice! Ready to go?" Harry asked.
"Erm.. Hey Harry. Can you please give me a few minutes? I need to go to the washroom." I said.
"Of Course! I'll wait here." He replied.
"Thanks Harry. I'll be back in a few minutes." I said and walked towards the girls' washroom.
I entered and kept the books aside and took a long breath. It was for the first time that a guy had asked me to go out with him. Well, in reality, it was for the first time I had a friend after Hazel.
She was my first and the only friend I ever had since I had joined this school. But unfortunately even she left the school and moved elsewhere, leaving me alone.
I tried to calm myself down as I didn't want to come off as the 'loser' Veronica calls me.
After spending a few minutes by myself, I calmed down and walked out of the girls' washroom.
I walked towards the classroom and saw Harry waiting for me.
"Shall we?" He asked.
"Yeah." I replied.
When we started walking out of school building, I could see Veronica and her friends making fun of me and looking at me with those furious eyes. They shot me looks which made me uncomfortable.
I believe my expressions were a little too obvious and evident because a few seconds later, Harry said..
"Is everything alright, Candice? You look a little pale."
"Harry, maybe you should go and wait for me outside and I'll meet you there?" I said, without making an eye contact with him, instead, looking at Veronica.
I guess he noticed me looking nervously at Veronica and her friends, to which he said..
"I'm not ashamed of being with you Candice, I'm not ashamed of being seen with you and I'm most definitely not ashamed of taking you out for a coffee with me. The people who should be ashamed are the ones who make you feel this way. There's no way I'm going out and waiting for you, we're going together!"
I could not think properly, so I remained silent and simply nodded my head and started walking with him.
We reached the parking lot and I saw his Black Range Rover. I was gobsmacked for a few seconds, for it definitely was a big deal for me.
"Is this your car?" I asked him, not really believing it.
"Yes it's mine. My dad gifted it to me on my last birthday." He replied casually.
He opened up the door to the passenger seat so that I could get in. I was so pleased by his manners because they are an uncommon thing these days and I respect him for this.
I got in and he gently shut the door for me. He also got into the driver's seat and we fastened our seat belts.
"Where do you wanna go?" He asked.
"Um.. I don't really mind." I replied.
"Alright then! I'm gonna take you to my favourite cafe." He said excitedly.
