Harry's POV

My cell phone beeped and it was a text from her.

Rose:
"I didn't do anything. Why are you thanking me? I should be the one thanking you."

I smiled at the text.

I replied: "You don't have to thank me for anything, Rose. Like I said, I was just making up for my mistake."

A few minutes later, she replied," Yes I do"

I replied. "Let's leave that topic aside. :P What's up with you? :)"

Rose: "I'm just listening to Elvis and writing my Journal."

I said."Ohh! then I should not disturb you. I'll see you at school tomorrow. Good night Rose."

Rose:" Good Night, Harry. :)"

I was sitting there in the my room, listening to the Chainsmokers.

I got up, walked to my mom's room. She was reading some novel.

"Hey mom! Do you mind if I borrow your music collection for a little while?"

She looked at me, surprised.

"You want my music collection?" She asked me.

"Yeah, I kind of do."

"Since when did you plan on listening to old and classic music? You hated it all this while." She asked, chuckling a bit.

"I never said I hated it mom. I wasn't a big fan of it, that's just it."

"Here you go!" She handed me a few CDs and a pendrive.

I took them and went in my room. I plugged the pendrive in my laptop. My mom sure did have a good collection.

I spotted a folder that read "Elvis Presley" and clicked on it. I chose a song named "Can't help falling in love with you"

I actually used to hate old songs, until now. But for the first time, I liked them.

The song managed to calm me down. I think Rose was right.

I listened to a few more songs and then switched them off when my mom called me for dinner.

I had my dinner with my family, discussing my day at school and talking about random things. Once I finished, I picked the dirty dishes and put them in the sink.

I came back to my room and changed into my shorts. I did not really bother a wearing t-shirt.

I took out my Journal and started writing..

Dear Diary,

Today was the first day at my new school and I didn't really expect it to go this well. I was a bit nervous when I thought of entering the new school, but once I did, I did not feel uncomfortable at all.

It's almost like there was something weird in the air of that school. It makes me comfortable and makes me feel at home.

Unfortunately, I got late to the History class and was kicked out of it but I don't mind. Because of that only, I got to befriend some people. I met the seniors too and they were really friendly.

I had my English class later, in which I sat beside Candice Rose Payne. She has a very interesting aura around her. I do not really know why I chose to sit beside her, but I just did.

She was asked to leave the class because of me and I felt so guilty about that. I tried to get out of the class, but I was denied. I wanted to go apologise to her.

I wanted to apologise before my guilt chewed me up cuz it wasn't her fault. I just felt she was upset about something, so I thought it would be a good idea to talk to her.

Finally the class got over and I got to apologise to her and ask her to join me for a coffee.

I don't really know what it is about her, but she draws me in everytime I see her. I feel like she has shut the world out. She was so quiet, so shy, and so reserved all the time.

I can bet, she holds a lot inside her but is just afraid to let it out. Maybe it's got something to do with Veronica, since she started crying when I mentioned her name.

It truly broke my heart to see her crying, being the sensitive soul I am. I do not like when people are sad around me.

I just hope she befriends me and maybe I could help her in any way.

For now, Good Night..

I closed my journal and put it back in the drawer and went to sleep.
