Candice's POV
"Harry maybe we should get back to the canteen, Niall is alone. He'll have to look for us" I said. I asked Harry to go back only because Veronica and her group was there and I didn't want to face them.
"You don't have to be scared of anything or anyone Rose. I'm there with you." He replied.
"S-Scared? What are you talking about?" I pretended being oblivious to his response.
"You know exactly what I'm talking about, so let's not pretend?" He giggle a bit.
"I'm sorry." I responded, embarrassed by my lie being caught. I could already see Veronica glaring me.
We walked for a few minutes when a boy with blue eyes and messy hair called out for Harry. He was wearing an Adidas sweatshirt and skinny jeans folded on the end, with white sneakers that too without socks.
"Hey mate, how you doing?" He had a typical British accent.
"Hey Louis! I'm doing good. How have you been?" Harry said.
"I'm doing well too. By the way, I came to invite you for the fresher's party tonight. You should bring your girlfriend too." Louis looked at me and said.
"Ohh.. Ermm.. You got it wrong Louis. She isn't my girlfriend. She's just a friend. Meet Candice Rose." Harry introduced me.
I got a bit uncomfortable upon hearing the word "girlfriend" "Hey. I'm Candice. Nice to meet you." I introduced myself again.
"I'm Louis Tomlinson. Pleasured to meet you. Okay so it's a party we seniors are throwing for you guys and it's gonna be so much fun. You should definitely come." He said.
"Count me in!" Harry said in an excited voice.
"I'm sorry. I will not come." I said.
"Why?" They both shrieked.
I flinched a but at their loud voices and I think Harry noticed it.
"I'll convince her. You just text me the details for the party." Harry told Louis.
"Sure mate! See you around. Bye Candice."
"Bye!" We both said.
"Why don't you wanna come to the party?" He asked me.
"Harry, I don't attend parties. Do I even look like a girl who attends parties?" I said in a low tone.
"Please come. You should keep your arms open to new experiences in life. If you haven't done it yet, it's gonna be your first and trust me it will be amazing. You don't have to be afraid of anything. Just take the fall and let it all go. Who knows it turns out to be the best day of your life?" Harry says, in an attempt to convince me.
I don't want to attend the party because I know it's not somewhere I belong. I do not fit there. I know our entire batch is going to be there, including Veronica. I think of all the possible things that can go wrong if I go there.
Finally I spoke, "No Harry. I don't think I can come. You go have fun."
"It would be so much more fun, if you'd come. I'll take your responsibility. Please??" He literally tried hard to convince me.
