Chapter 24

*Time skip*

Candice's POV

It's been five days since Harry left and I haven't heard from him since then. I hope he's doing alright and so is his grandmother. The past days went by okay, but the time seems to be crawling lately. Nothing exciting happened since he left, or maybe I don't find things amusing without him. School has been fine too. Niall has been of massive support and so has been Louis' group. They treat me like a part of their group and I do not feel out of place when I'm with them. Eleanor has invited me over for a girls night at her place with Perrie, Danielle and Christina. 

At first, I was reluctant to go, but when Liam suggested it would be a good idea, I agreed. He decided to drop me off to her place and currently he's driving me there. The radio was blaring with some pop song which I didn't really like, so I changed it. The next song being played was, Who You Love by John Mayer. 

Was it strange that throughout the song there was only one person on my mind? Why is that when I hear the word "Love", he's the first thought? I literally zone out when I think about all this. 

And this distance is in no way helping me out. People usually say that distance rules out the affection, but for some reason the opposite was happening to me. The less we talk, the more he is on my mind and the more he is on my mind, the more I miss him. I know I should've texted or called him, but I don't think it's the right time to do so because I have no idea about the situation at his place. 

"Here comes your favorite classic." I snapped out of my thoughts when I heard Liam.

"Huhh? What?" I asked.

"The song? I fall to pieces?"

"Ahh the song..yes. I love it."

"The fact is so hard to digest that you've never been in love and yet you love all the love songs."

"Hahaha just because I haven't felt a particular emotion personally doesn't mean I can't relate to it? I relate to you and Sophia good enough to know of Love." I responded.

"Ohh that you do!" 

My favorite line from the song came was.."Time only adds to the flame"  Were my feelings a flame which were being given air by the time and distance factor. The less I talk to him, the more restless I become, the further away he is from me, the closer I wish he was and the less he tells me, the more I wanna know. 

The car halted and I reached Eleanor's place. Everyone had reached before me so they all greeted me with warm hugs. 

It was fun being in their company. I feel so much better than how I felt on the first day of high school.

Right now, everyone was having pizza! What's a party without pizza anyway. We soon finished and gathered in Eleanor's living room which was quite spacious. We were currently debating over the movie we should watch.

Numerous suggestions were being thrown but we couldn't conclude and decided that we should probably dump the idea of watching a movie and just hang around and talk.

"So how is your relationship with Louis going on?"  Perrie asked Eleanor.

"Ohh well its going great actually. We're having a real good time together. The best part about being with Louis is that he's so much fun! Whenever I'm with him, I'm laughing my ass off. And the cutest thing is that how pure his heart is. No matter how much sass he throws around or how loud he is, at the end of the day he's still a kid at heart." Eleanor replied.

"Awhh look at you, you're blushing!!" Danielle astutely pointed out.

"Stop it you guys!" Eleanor was literally hiding her face away.

"How's everything with Zayn anyway?" Danielle asked this time.

"Things are good. He's not way too expressive when it comes to us but I still know he loves me so much." Perrie replied shyly.

"What's the thing you love the most about him?" Christina asked her.

"Ahh that's a difficult question. I don't really know what exactly made me fall for him but maybe his mysterious aura. When I met him, I felt drawn towards that aura. And Zayn is the kind of person you run to, when you're upset. He comforts me so well whenever I'm upset and I guess that's one of the best things about him."

We all were listening to her talk about her relationship with Zayn when suddenly the tables turned and it became about me.

"What about you Candice? Who's your boyfriend?" Eleanor asked.

"Ohh, I don't have a boyfriend."

"Really?" Perrie sounded surprised.

"Yeah."

"Okay then who's your crush?"

"I don't have any crush either."

"Are you for real!?!!" Danielle exclaimed.

"C'mon there's got to be someone? Think think, there's definitely gonna be someone you at least admire or like?" Christina said.

"I'm not sure guys." I said.

"Don't be hesitant Candice, it's just us here. And we don't let secrets out. You can trust us." Perrie said.

"H-Harry.. Harry Styles."

"Oooo here comes the secret. See, I knew you were hiding something. How long has the relationship been going on?" Christina said.

"We're not in a relationship, I just think I lov- like him." I held back my emotions and went with the word 'like'. The other  word would've been a huge deal to utter.

"Which makes it even more interesting to know about!!!" Eleanor squealed.

"What do you mean?" I was confused by now.

"Well, of course the period before a relationship is far more fun than an actual relationship. All the new feelings overpowering your mind and heart. All the butterflies, the thoughts, the sleepless nights. Yayyy I'm so excited to listen to it all." Danielle surely sounded excited.

"Soooo...???" She shrugged her shoulders.

"So?" I said, clueless.

"So, we're waiting to hear it all out?"

They all gathered in front of me and formed a circle, which surely was intimidating but I surely was in no position to escape their questions.

I took a deep breath and began with my story.
