Harry's POV
I woke up when the sun was shining bright through the blinds. My eyes felt heavy because I didn't get enough sleep but my heart felt so light because it was content. The only reason for this contentment was this girl, lying ever so peacefully in my arms.
Just before getting up, I hugged her close once more. I pulled her towards me and closed my eyes, taking a whiff of her hair. She smells so good and she's so warm. I felt I could hold onto her forever but that would be so creepy hahaha.
Without being creepy, I got up quietly and walked downstairs. I poured myself a glass of water and my thoughts were running in circles. I wanted to make her day special. So, I thought it might be a good idea to get her a nice breakfast in bed. I quickly wrote down a note and kept in beside her pillow, if in case she gets up before I come back.
I drove down the street and got a few things packed. Next was the trip to the florist. I picked a bunch of white and red roses for My Rose. In just a couple of minutes I was back home. I rushed to the kitchen and prepared everything. I set out the waffles and pancakes out on a tray. Next was Coffee, I don't really know how she liked her coffee so I just hope she likes my version of it. I thought adding a couple of fruits would be good too, so I cut some strawberries for her. The idea seems to be getting executed just fine.
Rest, I just hope she likes it. I picked up the tray and walked upstairs, towards her room. Luckily, she was still sleeping. I put the tray down on the bed and walked up to her side. She looked so peaceful while sleeping, I almost didn't feel like waking her up. I gently caressed her left cheek and picked up the strand of hair that was falling on her face and tucked it behind her ear. It was then that I disturbed her sleep. She slightly opened her eyes. They looked even more gorgeous in the morning.
"Good Morning Sunshine." I greeted her with a warm smile.
"Good Morning Harry." She responded in her calming morning voice.
"Did you sleep well Rose?" I asked.
"I guess I slept fine, you?"
"Couldn't sleep better. The best I have, in a long time." I could feel a sudden wide smile creeping its way on to my face.
"Anyway, I got some breakfast for you." I smiled at her.
"Ohh that's really considerate of you Harry." She said.
I placed the tray in front of her and she seemed happy at the sight of it.
"But first, some roses for the most beautiful Rose I know." I handed her the bunch of roses I had bought for her.
"Ohh Harry, why are you so cute? Thank you so much for these, I love them." She had a genuine bright smile on her face and of course it was contagious.
"Ohh, by the way I made the coffee myself and I'm not too sure if its up to your taste. So, just give it a go and let me know what needs to be changed." I handed her the coffee mug.
She held the mug between both her hands and took a sip.
"Woahh! It seems like you found the recipe of my coffee written down somewhere. Its exactly how I like it, and it needs absolutely no changes at all. I love it."
"Ahh that's such a relief for me. I thought you'd hate it."
"You're an idiot if you think so." She chuckled and it was a delight.
She was having her coffee and so was I, but I was stealing glances of her every now and then. She seemed to be enjoying it and looked so good. I didn't realize I was smiling until she pointed it out.
"Whatcha smiling at big boy?" She said, bursting my bubble of being awestruck.
"Just smiling at the most beautiful little girl who holds the coffee mug between both her hands." I told her.
"Well, its keeping my hands warm!"
"You deserve all the warmth and comfort there is in the world. And honestly, the way you hold your mug tells me how much you need it. I know the world we live in is a cold place that has no place for vulnerabilities and here you are amongst it, stealing these little moments of warmth from these little things." I said.
"You know Harry, sometimes you say things that make me speechless. They make me wonder if you can actually read minds. For a guy, you really do feel deep things." She said.
"Well we're not as dumb as we're portrayed."
"I would beg to differ on that Mr.Styles. Why do you say so?" She asked.
"I guess it's just the way we guys are taught to be so tough and not so emotional and sensitive that makes us look emotionally dumb."
"Ohh absolutely not? You guys aren't dumb and honestly there's no upbringing that can stop you from feeling things. It's just the way people have stereotyped the emotions of a guy. And just like you mentioned, the world is a cold place and people expect you to be tough, you be tough! But trust me, there's no need of that. Feelings are not something to be ashamed of. You should be proud of feeling things, it a sign of being human."
"So, if it were in your hands, what would you change about it?"
"If it were in my hands, I would make guys realise that it's absolutely fine to feel things. There's a soft side to everyone and letting that show sometimes isn't a bad thing. I get it that the world is a place where vulnerability isn't respected too much and we tend to set our guards up and stay in those four walls of confinement, but you never know what resides outside those walls." She said.
"Well, that's true." That's all I could come up with.
"But I believe someday, someone strong enough would break those walls down and you will willingly let your guards down and you'll be pulled out of that confinement by a pair of hands holding yours. That'll be one of the best feelings. To burn down the old bridges and see a new horizon." She said with dreamy eyes.
"It makes me happy that you feel this way and choose not to agree with the stereotypes." Her thoughts made me happy.
"Well of course I don't agree with them." She said.
"Anyway, what do you wanna do today?" I asked.
"You tell me? I don't have anything specific in mind." She responded.
"I wanna dance with you." I smiled at, seeking her permission.
