Sorry this one is not so good, I kinda waited until the last minute.

*dating*

"Antonio, Ruzek, Atwater you take the back door and when you get in take the first floor. Halstead and Lindsay go in the front door and take the basement. Al and I will go in the front and take the top floor." Voight instructed as they were gathered around his car.

They loaded their long guns and strapped hand guns into their holsters and some to their thighs. Everyone was getting ready to go in. Even though they were trained for this, it was always nerve racking.

"Hey Jay, can you tighten my vest for me?" Erin asked. She always fiddled with her vest before going in, it had become a nervous habit. She had an especially bad feeling about this one. Something was going to go wrong, and she knew it.

"Of course," he smiled. It had become a sort of tradition that they would help with each other's vests. It relaxed Jay a bit to know that her vest was on correctly and tight. He had seen too many cops go down because of faulty Kevlar and did not want it to happen to anyone in his unit, Erin especially.

They were about to infiltrate a gangbangers house where they were making and selling drugs. This case had started when three teens died of a form of meth that was laced with something else. That was four days ago and they had finally found the house.

They slowly made it to the doors, Halstead and Atwater each had a battering ram to knock down the doors.

"On my count," said Hank. "One, two, three. CHICAGO PD, HANDS WHERE I CAN SEE THEM!"

They all ran to their assigned floors, checking each room individually. Erin and Jay had many rooms to check in the basement. Erin heard Antonio yell clear from the first floor, Hank yelled it from the top floor, but then she heard three gun shots. If the other floors were cleared then that meant they came from the basement.

She quickly ran to where she heard the noise and relaxed when she saw the offender down with a bullet in the chest. She reached down to feel that he had no pulse. But she heard three shots go off, Jay had good aim and there was only one hole. Then she saw it, the gun in his hand. She slowly turned her head hoping to be wrong, but she wasn't. Jay was on the ground, with a growing pool of blood.

She quickly ran to his side, seeing that there was one shot to his left shoulder and one to the lower left abdomen, right below where the Kevlar ended. She applied pressure to the wounds and by this time the rest of the team had made it to the basement. Antonio quickly ran over to apply pressure to his abdomen so she could focus on his shoulder.

"10-1, 10-1 officer shot. I need an ambo at this location immediately," Hank yelled into his radio. "Ruzek, Atwater, come with me, we'll wait for the ambo outside."

"Jay, listen to me, stay with us. Keep your eyes open, keep your eyes on me." Erin said trying to stay calm.

"Erin, I love you."

"I know you do, I love you too. You're going to be fine okay."

After a few minutes they could hear the sirens, but Jay's eyes were closing.

"Jay, stay awake, stay with me." She felt one final squeeze from his hand as his eyes shut. Then she heard the foot steps coming down the stairs. The team led the paramedics to where Jay was.

"Two GSWs, left shoulder and left lower abdomen, he just went unconscious," Al informed the paramedics.

Kevin and Antonio helped the paramedics get Jay on the back board, and walk him out to the ambulance. Erin wasn't allowed in the ambo, but Hank quickly told her to get in the car and he would drive her.
