They were in New York looking for the scumbags who ran the operation that abused Teddy, Erin's half brother. They finally found out who was supplying the children to the trafficking ring.

He was a security guard at a shelter for children. Of course a man who was supposed to protect children would be the perfect person to supply vulnerable, naive children to traffickers.

They were chasing him down 11th avenue when he turned a corner. Erin and Jay, who were in the lead, rounded the corner right after him. Jay, nearly getting clipped by a taxi, stopped it and turned just in time to see Erin collide with a bicyclist. She flew to the ground and flipped over a couple times.

"Erin!" He screamed.

"Erin! You okay?" Asked Sergeant Benson as she continued towards the security guard.

"You alright?" He asked, bending down to lay his hand on her leg.

"Yeah. Go go," she waved her arm, telling him to continue with the chase.

As he turned around to assist Sergeant Benson, he saw she had it under control and turned back to see Erin trying, and struggling, to get up.

"Easy! We got him, we got him," he said to her.

When he turned fully around he saw her reaching her left hand out towards him and putting her right hand to the back of her head.

"Erin?" He asked stepping closer, grabbing ahold of her arm. "You okay?"

"You okay?" Repeated Sergeant Benson.

When she pulled her right hand away from the back of her head and in front of her, it was covered in blood.

He knew something was wrong when she didn't jump back to her feet.

"Erin?"

Just as he asked she started to look dizzy, and he caught her just in time before she collapsed.

"You alright?" He asked as he carefully laid her down on the street. He kept one hand under her head, as a cushion, and held her left arm in his hand.

He heard Sergeant Benson call for a bus and then she was at their side.

"Hey, Erin honey, how you feeling?" She asked.

"I'm okay," she mumbled before her eyes started to close.

"Erin, I need you to stay awake for me," he said, lightly tapping the side of her face.

Then he heard sirens and in a matter of a minute, the paramedics loaded her up and took her off to the hospital. Jay got back into his car and Sergeant Benson got in hers, going their separate directions - one to the hospital and one to the precinct.

On the drive over he was worried. There was lots blood coming from the back of her head. Head injuries were very dangerous and he didn't want to lose his partner.

Once he arrived at the hospital he ran towards the entrance, stopping at the front desk.

"Hi, there was a woman brought in here a couple of minutes ago with a head injury, she's my partner," he said showing his badge. "Where can I find her?"

"Exam room three," she smiled.

He nodded a thank you and made his way to her room.

When he pulled open the curtain he saw her sitting awake holding gauze to the back of her head. He breathed a sigh of relief.
