White. All she saw was white.

She looked to her left. White.

She looked to her right. White.

White surrounded her.

But then she hears a noise and turned around to see Hank standing there. Then Jay appeared at his side, they were talking but she couldn't hear what about. Then she saw herself walk up, that's when she remembered that day.

It was the day she was partnered with Jay, it was probably one of the best days of her life. When they met she felt something towards him, little did she know he felt it too.

In the first month they were working together they had meshed extremely well, as if they'd known each other for years. They were almost inseparable, then tragedy struck the team.

Jules had died, she was Erin's best friend. Erin had pushed everyone away, except for Jay, he wouldn't let her. He was there when she needed him. She remembered the day she did, about a week after Jules's death.

She had gone to Jay's house in the middle of the night, she didn't remember how she had gotten there but she did. He opened the door extremely confused as to who it was but when he saw her, it didn't matter that it was two in the morning.

He immediately pulled her into a hug, and she let the tears that had built up over the last week fall. She had felt so safe and so protected in his arms. That was the first time that she realized that she needed him in her life, as did he.

There relationship had been stronger then ever after that night, then Nadia was killed. Erin pushed everyone out and instead turned to the next best thing, drugs and alcohol. She had only come back when her partner had been kidnapped, that got her clean immediately. She didn't want to live without him, she couldn't do it.

Since that day, where she got her couch, they're lives had been forever changed. She was there for him when Terry died, and he was there for her when Justin died. They wouldn't let each other slip away, never again.

That's when everything she was seeing started to fade away, and she heard a faint beeping and yelling. She felt a hand grip hers as her vision began to clear.

She was staring straight up at a metal roof, one that was all too familiar. She was in an ambulance. That's when the pain rushed through her body, and she turned to her left and saw Jay. He had looked terrified, and she had no idea why.

Next thing she knew she was being pulled out of the ambulance and rolled into a hospital. She could hear the muffled voices of doctors and the paramedics but couldn't make out what they were saying.

She felt one last squeeze on her hand and it was let go, that's when she was transferred between beds and a mask was slipped over her face. She felt her eyes start to droop as the pain slowly faded away as her eyes slowly slipped closed.

Back in the waiting room, Jay paced impatiently. The team had arrived minutes later and he quickly informed them on what had happened in the ambulance. That her heart had stopped, that she had died. After hearing the news, everyone collectively sat down and waited. They waited to hear anything on their daughter, girlfriend, and sister.

After about twenty minutes of waiting, Jay couldn't keep his thoughts to himself anymore.

"I should've been there, I should've stopped it." He blurred out into the silent waiting room.
