NATSU*

"Hey! Gray, Happy! Are you coming?!" Natsu yelled as he ran across his street. Natsu lived in the largest city of Fiore, Magnolia, along with his best friends Gray and Happy.

Gray was an ice wizard. Happy was a flying blue cat. To Natsu this situation had never been strange. The only problem was that Natsu and Gray were CONSTANTLY fighting.

"Wait up Natsuuuu!" Cried Happy as he flew after the cherry haired boy.

"Oi oi! What's the big rush?" Replied a half-naked Gray. "I'm pretty sure that the Fiore carnival isn't going anywhere."

"Shuddup stripper!" Natsu called after the shirtless boy. This got his attention. Gray ran after Natsu full speed and tackled him to the ground.

"Get... Get off me!" Natsu screamed socking Gray in the gut. Gray moaned in pain and the two twelve year olds ran down the street toward the Fiore carnival.

LUCY*

Lucy sat in her small room reading her book, a small child's tale about a girl with a red hood and a wolf. Red riding hood. She set the book aside on her small wooden table. Her room was cold. Especially in the winter. She walked up to her window and looked out into her backyard, a simple garden sat across the grass, with a tall wooden gate going around the whole house.

"Looks like a normal backyard." Lucy said, and it did. But, if you looked a little closer, you would notice small differences. Like the way the flowers drooped from not enough water. Or the fact that although they had a child, there were no bikes, or balls, or skipping ropes to play with.

Lucy gripped the bars on her window, pulling on them occasionally to see if any were loose. Of course none of them were, her father checked them every month.

She distantly heard the neighbourhood children running around. Playing. A small tear escaped her eye and fell down her cheek, she absently brushed it away as she checked her clock. 11:45, mother would be coming with her lunch soon.

Her whole life Lucy just wanted to be normal. To go outside and play with the other kids. But her mother and father told her she was dangerous, they took her zodiac gate keys from her and told her to stay in this room. Like she had a choice. There were 5 thick magic bars on her window, and even though her door wasn't magical, there were 6 locks. What could a 12 year old do to that? She knew she had to stay locked away, but she never thought of herself as dangerous. Her mother was also a celestial spirit wizard, why did she get to go outside?

These questions sent chills across her body, as she heard a knock at the door.

"Honey? I've brought you some lunch." Her mother asked softly through the door.

"Well sorry... I can't exactly open the door for you." Lucy replied.

Her mother sighed loudly and said "I know your lonely sweety, and I'm sorry. But you can't risk putting others in danger.

"But mom how am I dangerous? Have I done something to hurt any one before?" Lucy said, her voice cracking.

"Not yet." And with that, Lucy's mother slid her lunch through a slit in the door and left.
