LUCY*
It was almost 8 a.m. and Natsu and Lucy were readily preparing their plan.
"Only 2 more minutes," Lucy said jittery.
"Yeah!" Natsu smiled.
"Um, Natsu, I'm kind of freaking out here." Lucy said, jumping up and down.
"Don't worry," he answered, "You'll like it out here!"
Lucy was almost positive that he was right. But what if her parents found out? What if she or Natsu got injured? She smiled, but Natsu saw right through it. His face softened.
"I know it's probably scary. But trust me. I'm going to give you the best day of your life!" He exclaimed.
The clock switched to 8 a.m. and Natsu stayed out of sight of the window, just in case. A minute later there was a knock at the door:
"Lucy, honey it's time for breakfast," said her mother, Layla.
"Go away," Lucy replied, trying to make her voice wobbly. It took all she had not to burst out laughing. She covered her mouth with her hand.
"Aw. Lucy come on, don't be mad. It was your fathers idea," she cried. Blaming it all on her dad? Her mother had hit an all time low.
"I'm not going to speak with you today." Lucy stated blandly. "Or dad." She added as an after thought.
"Oh. Well, I'll just leave you're breakfast here then," Layla slid the breakfast through the door. Lucy didn't respond. Her mothers footsteps echoed as she fled the hallway. Natsu popped his head around the corner of the window, smiling.
"Good work."
"I've always wanted to be an actress," Lucy gushed.
"Now it's time to ditch this gloomy place," he said. He took out a key and scraped it against the rock, "Hm, it's gonna be pretty tough," Natsu decided.
"We can manage," Lucy replied. She turned and pointed to the rock beside the window. "It's weakest point is here."
"How do you know?" He questioned.
"I've measured. Calculated the size of the room. The connection points like here a weak. And it's the most thin bit of rock, so naturally it would be the weakest."
"Said like a true nerd."
"Shut up!" She said laughing.
"Ok, anyways. I got this." Natsu continued. He lifted his hand and it suddenly caught fire. He placed his hand on the rock and it slowly began to melt.
--------------------
5 minutes later
--------------------
Natsu pulled his hand away, leaving a large hole in the stone. Lucy stared in awe.
"Wow," was all she could say.
"Piece of cake," Natsu heaved. He was breathing heavy and his fire burned out on his fist.
"But you're completely out of magic energy!" Lucy cried.
