"Here, I brought some more of that jerky. Oh, and I don't really know if you like-" Natsu stopped talking after he realized Lucy's room was empty.

Maybe she went out after me? No, she wouldn't do that. She knew her mom would come check on her any minute. Natsu thought.

He climbed in through the hole.qq

"Lucy?" He called quietly. Natsu turned his head in the direction of the washroom.

She could be in there. Again. He though laughing quietly. He walked over and knocked on the door. Half expecting Lucy to freak on him and scream for him to go away. But she didn't.

He knocked again.

Nothing.

Natsu began to wonder if Lucy had left him. Ran away from home, and her parents. Wasn't that what he wanted? For her to be free? So why did he feel like there was a giant hole in his heart? Why did his stomach drop like a stone? Why was his throat tight with a knot? He felt like he was going to cry. What was wrong with him? Lucy was probably right here somewhere. He could go knock on the front door. Her parents wouldn't suspect anything. Maybe they wouldn't even answer. It was worth a shot.

He rounded the house to the front yard and stopped in his tracks. On the front lawn, right in front of the house, was a for sale sign. And on its front, was the word 'sold'.

GRAY* p.o.v.

We were in the park. All of us. Except Natsu and Lucy, of course. I rolled my eyes.

"I wonder when Natsu will get here. Tomorrow is his birthday after all." Lisanna cried impatiently.

Erza, Mira, Juvia, Lisanna, Wendy and Romeo were all here. Oh, and Elfman was standing a few yards away flirting with the high school girls. He was such a stupid oaf. He was in our grade, grade 8, but he acted like he was superior to all of us. I was just in a bad mood. I've been in a bad mood since I saw Natsu and Lucy. I don't know why I even bothered. I got up and started walking to the swing, instead of sitting on the grass with every one else.

"Gray!" Erza demanded, I turned to face her. Everybody was looking at me. Huh, why? I thought.

"What?" I asked, suddenly self conscious. Was there something on my face? Oh god was I naked?! I could feel myself go pale.

"Dude. Juvia just asked you a serious question and you just walked away," Elfman said. Erza looked at me like she wanted to rip my head off. What were they talking about?

"Uh.. Um, well it's not Gray-sama's fault. He just didn't hear me," Juvia said, her fair skin turning pink with embarrassment. I looked at each persons face with confusion.

"Wha-? What did you say?" I asked Juvia, nearly terrified of the answer.

"Well you can't just talk with all of us here!" Lisanna yelled. Oh no. She was playing matchmaker again. And that really messed everything up last time. I doubt that Enno was even out of therapy yet. I started to run away but Lisanna caught me and dragged me away, like the demon child that she was, and damn, she had a strong grip.
