LEVI*

Levi walked around the guild hall pondering his predicament. He had to admit, the possibility of him being crazy was rather high. Which sucked. Had he really spent 34 years believing he was living within walls running from 'titans'? He sure hoped not, in this world there was magic. Meaning maybe he was in a different world. He'd been in that weird cell for nearly 5 years, but maybe time passed differently? He didn't feel any older. Nor did he look any older. As proved by Lucy. Hmmm, maybe he didn't age in this world...? Levi was so deep in thought he didn't even notice her standing there until he bumped right into Asuna.

"Ahh!" She let out a little scream with surprise, she seemed so weak. At least until her fist came up and hit his jaw with a clack! Levi felt the pain, but he stifled the urge to moan. She was defiantly stronger than she looked.

"Sorry." He said, rubbing his jaw quickly.

"Ah, um, no. I'm sorry, it was just reflex." She said. Levi nodded, it was a good reflex to have when you were in danger.

"What are you doing?" She asked.

"Nothing really. Trying to figure out where we are, and how to get home. I assume you've already guessed that you're not where you came from?" He asked curtly. Asuna nodded.

"I didn't want to say anything, but I seriously doubt I'm at my home." She agreed.

"Could you tell me what your world is like?" He almost sounded curious, but not quite.

"Well, this world seems to have magic. Mine isn't like that. But we're quite advanced in technology, we have games that people play, um," Asuna struggled for the right words. "These games are basically like virtual realities, do you follow?" She asked. Levi nodded.

"Continue." He said.

"I would've assumed that this was one of those games. I've been trapped in one before, you see, but nobody seems to know that they are in a game, or even what a nerve gear is."

Levi nodded like he understood.

"I'm not sure what a nerve gear is," Levi admitted "but I assume that your world is very advanced in technology and that you can play these games like they are real?" He asked, he wasn't totally lost. "So I'm sure certain games include magic in them-"

"Like Alfheim Online." Asuna interrupted.

"So it would be natural for you to think this was one of your worlds games." He finished with irritation.

Asuna nodded.

"But, given your situation, I now doubt that I'm in a virtual reality. I really do believe I'm somehow in another world. But how could that be possible?" She asked. Levi didn't answer, he didn't know either. It looked as if the people here had already gone to a parallel universe called Edolas, but travel between interlocking universes would be much easier than going to a completely different ones. Then again there was magic here. That would've helped. Levi decided to stop thinking about it, he had a headache already.

"Well I'm sure this conversation has created more questions than answers, but thank you for the help." Levi said, and left with a puzzled look. This really did create more questions than answers.

NATSU* p.o.v.

I walked back to the guild hall and sat at an empty booth for nearly two hours before Gramps decided to come back. I guess I deserved it. I wasn't sure what he wanted to talk about, but the probability of yelling being involved was almost 100%. That's why I was completely surprised when he calmly came and sat across from me with a look of sorrow.

"Gramps, let me explain. I don't know what came over me, it wasn't my fault, I was just so angry and Lucy's been gone for so long and I have these weird emotions that really really suck and I don't know what to do anymore and I feel like everybody hates me but also pities me at the same time while we still don't know what's going on with those creeps from that crazy invisible building and I have an awful feeling that this whole situation isn't even close to being over and I really don't think I could stand it if you yelled at me right now so can I please just go home?!" I asked in one giant breath. Makarov sat there calmly, waiting for me to catch my breath and nodded at me with understanding.

"Natsu,-"

"No Gramps please you've got to understand-"

"Enough!" He silenced me. I nodded and swallowed the big lump in my throat. "Natsu, you need to understand that I don't know what's going on in your personal life. But I have known you for most of yours, and I do care about you. So does everybody else. But you've been acting strange, I think you know, you should rest, take some time off to think. You've gotten Lucy back, and you're right about this not being over yet, but just take it easy for a bit. You can calm down about this whole situation now." He said in the most soothing voice I'd ever heard him use before. I nodded, not bothering to answer. I got up and decided to head home, hoping he'd understand.

Happy started following me out the door even without me calling. We continued through the town towards our house in silence. Finally we passed the river just around the corner to our house.

"Natsu! Can we go fishing?" Happy asked, stomach growling. I turned around to face him, prepared to say no and go to bed. But his stomach growled again and his eyes got wide like balloons and the next thing I knew, we were sitting at the edge of the river laughing and humming an off key, out of tune version of row row row your boat.

"Natsuuuu! Stop, your going to scare all the fish away!!"

LUCY DREAM p.o.v.

The water swirled around me, still unsure of my choice. Was the water evil? I didn't know any more. All I could feel was the searing hot pain on my skin and the different kind of burning in my lungs, deeply in need of oxygen. I sank deeper and the pressure got to my head, making the whole world spin. I twisted and turned, still wondering if freezing to death would be better. It had to be, anything would be better than this. But by now I knew what this meant, this heat was Natsu, and to survive it, I needed to trust it. This dream didn't make that message any clearer. Wait... Dream?!

LUCY*

Lucy awoke with a gasp for air, falling off the desk chair in Fairy Tail's study. This was the first time she'd actually realized that the dream was, well, a dream! It was true. She'd made her choice, the boiling ocean, Natsu. And now she had to figure out in real life if she regretted it or not. Getting back up onto her feet, she realized that her story/diary entry was gone. She frantically looked around, that paper had her deepest most personal thoughts, but it was nowhere to be seen. She flopped down on one of the couches and internally face-palmed.

Of-flipping-course! Why not?! Nothing else is going right anyways. She thought. She quickly checked the clock on the wall nearby. 10:43. She'd better get going. Standing up from her comfortable couch, she walked up to the door and turned the doorknob. Only to find that it wouldn't budge. Lucy pushed, pulled, banged and smacked the door. But either nobody heard her, or nobody cared. She sank down onto the burgundy patterned carpet, giving up. She could easily call one of her spirits and escape, but what would be the point? It's not like her empty home was much better than this. She decided she would worry in the morning, nobody cared if she stayed overnight in the guild anyways, and if they did, they should've come and gotten her. Without even bothering to get back on the couch, Lucy fell asleep right against the door on the rug.
