GRAY* p.o.v.

Wendy, Erza, Juvia, and I walked for hours without any sight of anything unusual. Carla flying high up, still not able to see anything but sand.

"The scent is getting weaker. We really should've gone South with the rest of them." Wendy stated. I nodded, we really should've. But if worst comes to worst we could always turn back and go after Natsu and the others.

"AHHH!" Carla screamed as she began falling from the sky. Without a second thought I ran up ahead and caught her in my arms.

"Carla!" Wendy cried, running to take the little white cat from my arms. The two had joined the guild about a year ago, during a Nirvana accident. We'd nearly lost that battle without Natsu's help. But luckily Gildarts and Master showed up at the last moment and saved Fiore from Nirvana's blast of magic. It turns out Wendy's old guild, Caitshelter, was just an illusion. So she joined ours.

"Carla...?" Wendy whispered. "What happened?"

"I'm- I'm fine." Said Carla as she rubbed at a bump on her head. " I, feel like I hit a wall." She explained. I looked at Erza, and she made a 'she's crazy' sign next to her head.

"Wendy! Thank Gray-sama right now! He just saved Carla!" Juvia commanded.

"You, you're right. Thank you so much Gray-kun!" Wendy cried as she hugged me.

"-kun?" I asked, but no one seemed to hear me. Everybody was to busy feeling around the air.

"What are you guys doing?" I asked, we had a mission to save Lucy. They shouldn't be goofing off.

"Come feel this." Juvia said with wonder. I rolled my eyes and walked over.

"What is it?" I asked impatiently. Without saying a word, Juvia grabbed my hand and I immediately blushed and pulled away.

"Wh-what are you doing?!" I whispered. I didn't want anybody to know.

"No! Gray-sama... I..." She took my hand again, but before I could pull away, she thrust my hand forward and it hit a hard, stone wall. But there was most defiantly nothing there.

"What is this?" I asked in wonder as I began to feel the strange, invisible wall.

"A wall." Erza answered solemnly. I turned to face her.

"Yeah, I can see that."

"Uhmm, no you can't." Wendy giggled.

"Carla?" I asked.

"I'm fine," she nodded, "you want me to go see how high this thing is?" She guessed. I nodded 'yes' in reply. Her wings spread around her, like a halo of light, and she quickly flew up. And up. And up.

Finally she came back down, panting for breath.

"It... It goes up to high! I went as high as I could before the air became to thin. But it felt like it still kept going!" She cried with disbelief. Wendy stared wide eyed.

"Carla..." The small, blue haired girl hugged her cat.

"This is defiantly what we've been searching for." Erza stated. "If only Natsu and the others had continued East as well."

NATSU* p.o.v.

All talking and whining ceased as the others looked over at me. Lisanna, just smashed into an invisible wall. I laughed again at the thought.

"What is it?" Asked Mira in wonder. I put my hand against the cool, rough stone. It was most definitely a brick wall. This magic wasn't impossible, but it was very hard, depending on the size. How much magic would it take to power this?

"It's a wall," I replied, "and it looks like we need to find the door." I said as I smirked in the Strauss girls' direction.

LUCY*

Lucy turned up her head so that she was facing the door on the ceiling.

"Are you going to kill me?" She called. All sounds of bickering and shuffling froze. "If you're going to kill me, I have two requests." Lucy asked confidently.

"Ask her what they are." The quiet girls voice returned.

"I thought I told you to shut up McGarden! You aren't even a doctor or scientist yet, you're just an intern! You don't tell us what to do." Grumbled Gajeel.

"Dr.Johnson? Ask the girls what her requests are." Gajeel asked, Lucy laughed a little. It was funny how Gajeel reacted to one small girls action. Considering that 'McGarden' was a girl. It sure sounded like it.

"I can speak for myself." Lucy replied, trying desperately not to laugh.

"Then speak up!" Cried Gajeel angrily.

"First off, I would like to know everything," Lucy continued. If she was going to die anyways, she wanted to die knowing why- why her life had been turned into an utter living hell. "And second, there is a boy. His name is Natsu Dragneel, I would like somebody to find him and tell him that I forgive him. That it's not his fault, and that I understand."

"I believe that's relatively reasonable." Dr.Johnson's voice said. "But don't you want us to hold off on that for at least a while?"

She was right, sort of. Didn't Lucy want to get as much more time alive as she could? Being honest, no she didn't. She'd spent so long by herself. It was time to give up.

All of a sudden there were loud noises coming from outside her room, almost like a canon, smashing into rock, or something hard.

"Some one's trying to break in?!" Demanded a furious Gajeel. "I'll handle it." He grumbled with aggravation.

The sounds continued for a while, but no noise came from above. Lucy assumed that Dr.Johnson, Gajeel, and the intern must be checking it out. A small voice came out of the speakers.

"Lucy-chan?" Called the small voice of 'McGarden.'

"What's going on?" She asked in a frightened voice, she wondered why she was scared. It was probably just a delivery truck or something.

"Well," continued the intern girl, "it seems we have a few... Intruders."

GRAY*

After a while of walking along the invisible brick wall, the group came across a cold, metal door. It was invisible, but they could feel a doorknob and the hinges. But it was, of course, locked.

"I've got this." Erza said calmly. She walked up to the door and requiped into her heavens wheel armour. With a swift flick of her wrist, the metal door split in two, revealing what seemed to be the normal opening to a door. Except, it was surrounded by nothing. It looked really strange actually.

"We should go in quickly before we breach security." Whispered Carla. But in all honesty, quietly sneaking into the building wouldn't make a difference when Natsu and the others were smashing the South end to bits.
