LUCY* p.o.v.

It felt like the all air had been sucked out of my lungs. I'd never seen him before, but I'd heard his voice. One of my captors...? But, why was he addressing Natsu? Had they met before? My eyes nervously shifted from Natsu to the man. I chewed the inside of my lip until I tasted blood.

"Who the hell are you?" Natsu asked angrily, hastily. He was obviously looking for a fight. The man only smiled. A bitter, smug smile. Natsu glanced at me irritably, raising an eyebrow. I just shrugged slightly and looked back to the man.

"Gajeel-san." Called a smaller voice, it sounded like Wendy. The man responded to his name and looked up slightly with a grin. In a puff of wind, Wendy appeared beside the man. I looked up with shock, but Natsu looked at her strangely.

"Wendy...?" Erza asked unsurely.

"She's not Wendy." He said. Gajeel rolled his eyes.

"Honestly, Dragon Slayer, it took you long enough." He responded. Suddenly, Wendy began to... Shut down. That was the only away to describe what I was seeing. Her small body went slack, her eyes rolled back and closed. She slowly crumpled to the floor, landing gracefully, as if she really were still Wendy.

"What did you do to her?!" I asked, trying to sound intimidating, although I'm sure it sounded like a threat coming from a mouse. But, wether or not I sounded like it, I was not going to let them hurt people on my behalf. This was all happening because of me. I tried to step forward but Erza held out an arm to stop me.

"Stop. It's not her, that's not Wendy." Natsu said through clenched teeth. "I'm not sure how. Care to explain, Pipe head?" He said, asking the last sentence with fury.

"Sure," the man smiled, "seeing as you're going to die anyways." Gajeel almost looked bored. "We've collected information from Lucy, and the other two... Levi and Asuna. You see, we've been collecting information from many, about 2400, other characters. They're not from here, they're from other worlds. We've been studying them, we really are good people. But sadly most of them died in the process. Lucy, Levi and Asuna were the only survivors, they seem to have very strong will power." He smiled.

"But, why?" I asked, scared to know the answer. Gajeel smiled up at me, but there was a poisoned look in his eyes.

"We're colliding worlds together. I guess it might seem stupid. And we've found some of the worlds to be unsuitable for ours to combine with. For example, Commander Levi Ackerman. He's from a world called Shingeki no Kyojin. Not exactly the kind of world we'd like to merge with." He showed an image to us with the wave of his hand, and an image appeared. Soldiers. Human soldiers, with advanced technology were fighting horrible creatures. "They're called Titans, and although I'm sure we could stop them with our magic, it's too much trouble. They can handle it themselves. Asuna's world however..." Another image showed up in the old ones place. This one looked like a normal world without magic, with technology far more advanced than ours. "Would be perfect." He finished.

"Why do we need to collide our world with theirs?!" I yelled, we have plenty of space here. "Why would the King order this?!" Gajeel chuckled.

"This has nothing to do with the King." He responded. "This has to do with me, and the future King, Jellal." Erza's eyes widened with horror and confusion. I've never seen her like that before. Natsu was listening patiently, something very unlike him. I knew he was waiting for the opportunity to attack. "Us wizards are so much more powerful than those pesky humans. It really wouldn't be that hard. And the more humans from other worlds that we find, the better. It's just more people for us to rule over!" He yelled. "It really is for the greater good. You three would even be aloud to rule over them." He finished, rolling his eyes at the last part.

"Nobody has the right to look down on anybody else." Natsu said intensely.

"Everybody is equal, they're hierarchy shouldn't be decided by how physically powerful they are!" I agreed. Erza looked almost paralyzed. Gajeel looked bored.

"Why does it matter to you anyways? You're going to die now anyways. It's not you're problem."

"Like hell it's not!" Natsu charged full speed at Gajeel. "Fire dragons roar!"

"Iron dragons roar!" Gajeel shot back, energy clashing between them. I watched the magic die down between them, Natsu had a cut on his arm and Gajeel's hair was singed. Natsu reared back and punched him with flaming fists. There was anger in his eyes. Despite what he'd said before, I rushed over to Wendy's side.

"Wendy? Wendy?!" I shouted, inaudible over the fight just metres away from me. Then the black light came. Can light be black? It was, and it grew darker.

I slashed and fought, but Gajeel seemed to be able to interpret my every move. He'd just rear back with the same attack in iron. It wasn't until I heard Erza scream that I remembered that there were other people except us. I turned and saw Erza, Lucy and Wendy disappear in the same shadowy way Gajeel had come.

"Where are they being taken?" I asked. Gajeel heaved a breath.

"Up." He pointed, and then everything became black light.

--------------------

I appeared suddenly in a strange room with control panels and windows leading out in every direction.

"Are we in a building?" Lucy's voice broke the silence.

"No," answered another voice from the darkness. "You're in the shadows of every world we've grasped hold of."
