LUCY* p.o.v.

When I first tried to open Leo's gate, I pretty much knew it wasn't going to work. I was even beginning to think that my parents had put a magic spell on my keys so that I couldn't open them no matter what. But hearing Leo's voice after so long made me so happy that I couldn't contain it. I cried and laughed as I turned around to face him. He hadn't aged a day.

"Lucy, I'm so sorry." Leo said. Every one else just stared in shock. The leader of the 12 zodiac gates, was here? Belonged to this feeble girl? Was what they probably thought. But I didn't care, I ran up and hugged Leo so hard I thought I would never let him go.

"Why are you sorry?!" I asked in shock, all of this was my fault.

"I should've been able to save you. I can usually come out of the celestial spirit world with my own magic. I don't know what was wrong. It was like a blockage." Leo bent down and hugged me back. I hadn't been so happy in 7 years.

"It's not your fault. My parents, they had a spell to block my magic. But you're here now, that's all that matters."

"Your parents? Layla did this?" Leo had a look of genuine shock on his face.

When I had turned 5, my mother had cancelled all of her contracts with her spirits, with only one last wish, that their new contact would be with me. Of course all of them agreed, Layla had been kind to them for years. Leo's look of shock slowly turned into doubt.

"I couldn't believe it at first either. But after the first month of being confined in the basement..." I trailed off. I had lost hope. I had never even tried to fight back. Leo hugged me.

"You're right. Can you call the others?" Leo asked, referring to the rest of my keys. I shook my head.

"No, my parents still have them all. They said they would give me one more each month. So, I'm supposed to wait a whole year." I explained.

"Not if I can help it." Leo began to storm towards the direction of my house.

"No!" I shouted. I looked at Natsu with panic, he suddenly snapped out if his daze.

"C'mon!" He yelled to Erza and Mira. The four of us ran up behind Leo and knocked him to the ground. Natsu and Erza each grabbed one of his legs while Mira jumped on his chest and held down his arms.

"We may have just met. But Lucy seems like a nice girl. And I have very good intuition. So, I suggest you don't do something to hurt her." She said, I smiled at Mira for standing up for me.

"It's ok Mira. Leo, please can we just explain for a second?" I asked calmly, as though three rowdy children weren't sitting on him. Leo looked at me and smirked.

"Well you've matured. Fine. Just get these guys off of me." He glared at Mira, who looked at me. I nodded, and she slowly clambered off of him. Leo climbed to his feet and dusted off his arms.

"You try anything funny and I will burn you." Natsu said, his fist blazing. Leo just looked at me.

"Nice friends you got there."

I blushed. I began to explain the whole situation, even my theory's about my parents using magic to keep my memories, I hadn't even told Natsu yet.

"Do you honestly think that your parents would do that?" Asks Leo.

"I don't know my parents, they could be anybody. And I wouldn't know them." I respond. I looked at the ground. Leo hugged me again. "But I still have to go back. What if I never get back the rest of the keys?" I ask.
