•Brittany's POV•

About half way down the mountain, I got tired so I decided to take a break.

I boarded over to the side of the slope and took out my phone to check the time.

It was 3:00 so I had two hours left before I had to meet my parents back at the restaurant.

I had been sitting there for about five minutes when I heard someone come to a stop behind me.

"Hey!" I heard someone say.

I turned around and my jaw dropped.

"H-Hayes?" I stuttered. I hate it when I stutter.

"Hahaha yep that's me. Hayes Grier."

"Um..hey!" I said. Controlling my inner fangirl.

"Why are you sitting?" he asked.

"Oh just resting. I'm tired."

"Oh okay. I was just making sure you weren't hurt or anything like that."

"Oh yeah I'm fine" I say smiling. It was really sweet that he was seeing if I was okay.

"Well I see that your a snowboarder like me. How long have you been riding?" he asked.

"I usually come every year with my family and this is our eighth time I think."

"That's cool. This is my third time so I'm not very good. Unlike you, your amazing!"

Omg Hayes just said I was amazing at snowboarding.

"Well thanks." I reply smiling and most likely blushing. "Your probably really good."

"I'm okay I guess." he replied.

"Well let's see what you've got!" I said.

"Hahaha alright. You first!"

So I started down the mountain and he soon followed me down.

I came to a stop when we were close to the bottom to wait for him. I turned around and watched him come down.

He was almost to where I was when he started to slow down to a stop. But he must of hit one of his edges to much and he flew forward and ran straight into me.

"Oh I'm so sorry! Are you okay?" he said but I was laughing to hard to answer.

He had fallen on me so I was on my back and he was on top of me.

"I'm fine. Are YOU okay?" I say between laughs.

"Yeah I'm fine" he said.

He took off his goggles and it looked like he was studying me. It made me feel a little awkward but it was also kind if nice.

His brilliant blue eyes were looking at my goggles but I knew he couldn't see my eyes through them.

So I decided to take them off. Don't ask why I did that, I just did.

We stared into each others eyes for about thirty seconds before I broke the silence.

"We should probably get to the lift. I only have a couple hours before I have to meet my parents back at the restaurant."

"Okay" he said. "Wanna hang until then?"

"Sure!" I said.

Then he scrambled from being on top of me and quickly stood. He looked kind of embarrassed but I decided not to ask why.

Then he mumbled something I couldn't understand.

"What'd you say?" I asked.

"Oh nothing never mind" He said.

•Hayes' POV•

Her eyes were amazing. They were a bright green in color and they crinkled at the sides when she smiled.

Then I realized I was still laying on top of her and I quickly scrambled away.

"Sorry" I mumbled scratching my head when I stood up. She hadn't understood me so I decided to change the subject.

"Let's head back down to the lift" I said.

"Okay. But you go first this time" she said.

"Hahaha okay. Race ya?"

"Your on!" she said.

So we raced down the mountain. She won, of course. Then we got in line and just talked about little things. Like what our home lives were and stuff like that.

"Wanna take a selfie?" I asked. She started giggling.

"Okayyy" she said. The way she said that made me laugh.

So I took out my phone and we both took off our goggles.

"Can I take it?" she asked.

"Yeah!" I said.

So she held out my phone and said, "On the count of three. One...two...three!"

On three I turned my head and kissed her cheek. The picture turned out perfect. I was kissing her cheek, her eyes were wide and her mouth was open in surprise.

The picture made her smile. "You've got to send that to me!" she said.

"Hahahaha ok I will."

I decided to post it on my instagram.

Then I realized I didn't even know her name!

"So what's your name?" I asked.

"Brittany Pearce." She said.

The name fit her perfectly. That made me smile, which made her smile too.

I wanted to tag her in my instagram post.

"Do you have an instagram?" I asked.

"Yeah, it's brittanypearce01."

"Okay thanks" I said.

I followed her and posted the picture with the caption:

New boarding bestieee😍💘 @brittanypearce01

"Awe" she said and smiled that perfect smile of her's.

Then it was time to get on the lift. We got on together and started the long ride up the mountain.
