•Nash's POV•
So Hayes practically dragged Brittany with him over to the hill. She then sat down and strapped in.
"Are you guys going to come or not?" she asked.
I must've zoned out for a minute while I was thinking about her.
"Yeah yeah we're coming" I say.
"Are you ready?" I asked Will.
"Yup. Why don't we let Brittany and Hayes lead the way" he says.
I glare at him. He probably figured out what I was trying to do to Hayes and he didn't like it.
He probably thought she was too young for me. Which she was, but who cares!
I finally decide to just agree with Will do I didn't sound desperate.
"Yeah that's fine with me" I say glancing at Hayes. But he was too busy staring at Brittany to notice.
Someone's got a major crush.
"Alright, let's go!" Brittany shouts as she starts down the mountain.
Saying she is 'pretty good', would be a huge understatement. She was amazing.
She sped down the hill faster than I've ever been. And she seemed absolutely fearless!
"Dang!" I finally said.
"I know right" Hayes replies. "We better hurry if we want to get on the lift with her."
He was right. At this rate she'd be back at the top before we even reached the bottom!
•Brittany's POV•
I went down pretty fast, kind of showing off.
But I mean, I'm with the Grier's for God's sake! Who wouldn't?
I decide to wait for them half way down because I didn't want to have to get in the lift line by myself.
Hayes came down first, with Nash and Will right behind him.
"Dang gurl, your good!" Nash says.
"Hahaha thanks, so are you!" The fake country accent he used when he said that made me laugh.
"No problem. I would say let's race, but I already know who'd win" he says.
"I'll give you guys a ten second head start, how bout that?"
"Your on!" Hayes shouts.
I laugh and count to ten. Right at ten I shoot down the mountain.
I beat them to the lift by about five seconds. Even with the extra ten seconds.
Nash whistles again.
"Dude you should compete or something. Like, your really good" he says.
"I don't know, maybe. I prefer to just do it for fun" I reply.
"Yeah I know what ya mean. Too much stress sometimes" Will says.
"Exactly."
•Hayes' POV•
I can't believe Nash. He's doing it again!
The last girl I liked, he liked too. So he flirted with her and basically stole her from me.
It makes me really angry, and I'm NOT going to let it happen again. Brittany was special. Their was just something about her that made me extra happy.
And Nash knows it. So he trying to win her over with compliments and things like that.
Not. Gonna. Happen.
Don't get me wrong I love my brother, but he really gets on my nerves sometimes.
And now is definitely one of those times.
We're heading to the same lift as earlier, which is a double and I'm making sure that I sit with Brittany, not Nash.
Nash can sit with Will.
"Hey Brittany, wanna sit together on the lift again?" I ask.
"Sure!" she replies.
I glance at Nash and he looks pissed.
"Haha, beat ya" I whisper in his ear.
"Shut up" he says back.
"Guys come on. Let's enjoy our day on the slopes and all just be friends" Will says.
And that's Will for ya. Always trying to do the right thing and make everyone happy.
He must've overheard what I said to Nash.
"Sorry not sorry" I whisper to Nash.
He just glares at me.
"He's right, come on let's go! I've gotta head back to my parents in an hour anyway" Brittany says.
Nash was still mad so he was probably going to avoid me for awhile.
We had been in the lift line for about ten minutes when it was finally our turn.
"Guys, I think I only have time for one more run before I have to back" Brittany says with a frown.
She had her phone out to check the time and it was 4:15. She only had 45 minutes.
That also reminded me, I had to get her number before the end of the day.
I decided to ask her for it on the way back.
All of a sudden we heard the person running the lift yell, "Next!"
It was Brittany's and my turn to get on.
We both kicked up to the lift and got in position.
But right when the it was about to pick us up, she sneezed. Which made her stumble back and on top of me on the chair.
I burst out laughing and helped her sit up straight. Which was a challenge for both of us because we were dying laughing.
Her laugh was amazing. Just like the rest of her.
I really think I'm starting to fall for this girl. And I barely even know her.
