•Brittany's POV•

We were almost to the bottom when I heard someone start yelling above us.

"Look out!" they hollered.

All I can remember after that is me screaming and Hayes yelling my name.

•Hayes' POV•

"Brittany!" I screamed.

The person on skis was headed straight for her, and there was nothing I could do.

I would've jumped in front of them if I could, to save Brittany, but they were too far away from me.

And it was too late.

They skier ran straight into her.

She screamed and they both went flying down the mountain.

I heard Nash gasp and yell Brittany's name.

Many people stopped and stared as they tumbled down the hill.

I started to follow them so I could help her up, if she would even be able to get up.

When I got to her, I shook her.

Nothing happened.

I took off her helmet and her eyes were closed. I also noticed her arm was bent at an awkward angle underneath her.

"Oh my god Brittany. Say something, anything! Please!" I say to her.

No response. I feel for a pulse on her wrist, she was alive.

I just had to make sure, she could of broken her neck or something.

"I'm so sorry!" the skier who hit her says.

It was a guy. He had brown hair and he looked about twenty years old.

"Is she alright? I lost control at the top and couldn't stop myself. I tried to swerve but-"

"Shut up! Just shut up!" I interrupt him. "She's unconscious. Help! Somebody help!" I scream.

About five minutes later, the ski patrol people came with a stretcher.

They strap her in. Nash, Will, and I hop on the snowmobile and we all ride up to the top of the mountain.

"Dude is she okay?" Nash asks.

"She's unconscious and I think her arm is broken" I reply.

"Don't worry man, she's gonna be alright" Will says, trying to comfort me.

"I hope so."

•Nash's POV•

So Brittany is now unconscious on a stretcher with a potentially broken arm.

This was not good. At all.

"We should probably call her parents" I say. "Want me to do it?"

Hayes looked like he might break down if he had to say another word, so he just nodded.

Her parents had given me their numbers last night just incase anything like this happened.

Her mom picked up after two rings.

Me: "Hello? Mrs. Pearce?"

Suzan: "Nash, you can call me Suzan. You don't have to call me Mrs. Pearce."

Me: "Okay, but someone on skis hit Brittany and she's unconscious. She might have a broken arm too. We're on a snow mobile now taking her to the infirmary."

Suzan: "Oh my goodness! We're on our way now. Thank you for telling us Nash."

Me: "Your welcome, bye."

Suzan: "Goodbye."

Then I hung up and gulped. I looked at Hayes and he was looking Brittany's unusually pale face.

A single tear fell down his face.

I really hope she's going to be okay, for Hayes' sake.
