•Hayes' POV•

When I got to the tunnel, I stopped at the bottom because I needed to take a breather. While I was resting, a girl on a snowboard flew by me. She was going really fast.

She looked familiar, and after I thought about it for a minute, I figured out who it was. I think it was the girl I had seen at the restaurant!

She was going so fast I couldn't get a good look at her so I wasn't positive.

I decided to get a better look at her when I got to the bottom because she would most likely be in the lift line.

When I made my way up the hill, I saw her carving down the mountain. She was really good!

"Woah.." I said. "She's amazing."

So I figured I would have to hurry to get down to the bottom and still be able to see her. The lift lines were pretty long.

So I took off down the mountain.

I managed to go down going pretty fast without falling. Just in case she was looking. I didn't want her to see me fall.

Luckily no fans recognized me, so I wasn't stopped in the lines.

Then I saw her. She was wearing a blue and green jacket with white pants. She had shiny goggles and her long blonde hair was in a braid down her back.

She looked amazing even when you couldn't see her face. Her smile was perfect her hair was perfect. Everything about her was perfect.

I was dying to talk to her. So I decided to get in the same lift line as her. Maybe we would even get on a lift together! But we most likely wouldn't because she had gotten down ahead of me and was further ahead in the line.

•Brittany's POV•

A few minutes after I had gotten in line, the boy who was staring at me under the bridge came down the mountain.

He seemed to notice me and started staring at me again.

And he smiled at me.

Then I remembered.

Hayes!

I knew his jacket looked familiar.

It all came rushing back to me. Being at the restaurant and seeing Hayes with all the girls and then him smiling at me.

He was giving me the same brilliant, perfect smile now. I couldn't help but smile myself.

I was very glad that he couldn't see through my goggles because I was staring at him and smiling.

Then he unstrapped his right boot and kicked over to the line I was in.

I was in the same lift line as Hayes Grier. THE Hayes Grier.

I was dying to scoot back in line and talk to him but I couldn't. There were too many people.

Maybe I'll see him when I come back down?, I thought. I'll go down the Tyro run to the left.

I waited in line for about fifteen minutes before I got on the lift. It was a double and I was with another girl who looked a few years older than me. She was on skis.

The lift ride was about five minutes long and it was very cold.

When we got off, I scooted over to the left and strapped my boot back in.

I glanced back at the lift and I didn't see Hayes anywhere. He must be further back than I thought.

Then I got up, and started down the mountain.
