•Brittany's POV•

Getting on the lift was a bit awkward because I practically fell on Hayes.

He just started to laugh, which made me laugh too. So we were both laughing our heads off, together.

We probably both looked like complete idiots.

But who cares? I'm with Hayes.

After we calmed down a bit, we just started talking about little things.

I found out he was 13, lived in North Carolina, had three other siblings, and was in the seventh grade.

We actually had a lot in common. I was 13, lived in North Carolina, and was in the seventh grade too! But sadly we lived in different parts of North Carolina so we went to different schools.

"We've gotta get off soon" Hayes says.

"Alright. Let's go!" I reply.

Once we got off the lift. We decided to go the right towards the Eagle's Swoop run.

"Do you think we should wait for Will and Nash?" I ask.

"Yeah probably. They'd get mad if we went without them" he says.

They got off about three minutes after us and then we all strapped in at the top.

"Me and Nash will go first this time" Will says.

Nash just rolled his eyes, not saying anything.

"Okay. We'll meet your down there" I reply.

Yay that means more time with Hayes!

So Nash and Will went down and Hayes and I soon followed them.

I went more at Hayes's speed so I could watch him. Not to sound creepy or anything, but he was fun to watch.

He was pretty good at snowboarding, but seemed to struggle a bit on his turns.

We went down the rest of the way and it only took about ten minutes.

Then we found Nash and Will in line and joined them.

"Hey Brittany, can I have your number? Then we can talk more once you have to leave" Hayes asks, while blushing slightly.

"Sure!" I say. "Let me have your phone so I can add myself."

"Okay here" he says, handing me his phone, smiling.

"Oh, and here's mine. So you can add yourself" I say as I give him my phone.

I put my contact name in as: Brittanyy💕😋

Then we traded phones again and he smiles.

I started to giggle because he put his name in as: Hayessssss😍😍😘

Then I noticed I only had fifteen minutes till I had to meet my parents.

I quickly texted my mom.

Brittany-"I'm really sorry but I might be a bit late meeting you guys. I made some new friends out on the blue slopes and kinda lost track of time."

She responded a few minutes later.

Mom-"That's ok sweety. Thank you for letting me know. But please hurry, James is getting very bored and he wants to leave."

Brittany-"Ok I will! See ya soon!"

Then I got on the lift with Hayes again.

•Hayes' POV•

I got her number!

I was screaming on the inside. Now we can talk after she leaves!

"So how long are you guys staying here?" I ask her as we walk over to meet her parents at the restaurant with Nash and Will.

"We're leaving on Sunday. What about you?" she replies.

"Same. I don't want to leave though."

"Me either! We only get to come once or twice a year so I wish we could all stay longer" she says.

"Yeah that would be awesome!" I say.

By then, we had gotten to the restaurant and her parents had spotted her.

"Hey guys!" she says. "This is Hayes, and his two older brothers, Nash and Will."

"Hello everyone" her mom says. "It's very nice to meet you all."

Everyone's smiling and talking. Her parents seem really nice. And her brother is really funny!

"Brittany, we're going to head back our place now and get some rest. You should come too. We have another full day tomorrow!" her dad says.

"Okay. But what are we going to do for dinner?" Brittany asks.

"We don't know yet. We might go that little café down the street. Isn't it called Smokey's Black Bear Café or something like that?" her father says.

Then I realize something.

"Where are you guys staying?" I ask.

"We're in Winter Oaks" Brittany says.

"We are too!" I say. "What room are you in?"

"104" her little brother says.

"We're in room 106! Right across the hall from 104!"

"Oh my gosh! That's crazy, now we can hang out more!" Brittany says.

"Yeah!" I reply.

I like the idea of being able to spend more time with Brittany.

"Why don't we all go to dinner together tonight?" Will suggests.

"That's a great idea!" her mom says.

"Yeah, we'll just have to talk to our mom about it. She's out with our little sister teaching her how to ski" Nash says.

This was little Skylynn's first time on skis and our mother was helping her.

"I'll text Brittany once we've talked to our mom about it" I say.

"Okay" her mom says. "It was nice meeting you all, hopefully we'll see you tonight."

And with that, we left. But I didn't want to leave Brittany's side.

I really hope I get to see her tonight.
