•Nash's POV•

Hayes had gone outside to see Brittany right after he finished his spaghetti. I was about to follow him, but Will stopped me.

"Dude, let them be. I think he's actually found a good one for him. She makes him really happy" he says.

"But, she makes me happy too!" I protest. I know deep down inside that she would choose Hayes though. The way they looked at each other and acted around each other. It was obvious.

I wait about ten minutes before I make my way outside.

I slowly open the front door so they wouldn't hear me coming. Then I quietly closed it and creeped around the corner.

Then, it felt like my heart had dropped into my stomach. Brittany and Hayes were sitting next to each other up in a tree, KISSING.

So much for a second chance. Then I went back inside.

"Mr. and Mrs. Pearce, thank you for coming. But if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go to bed. I'm very tired and it's been a long day" I say.

"Thank you Nash. We'll see you tomorrow to discuss our plans for the day." Mrs. Pearce says.

And with that, I headed up to my room.

•Hayes' POV•

We were just talking up in this tree, when I suddenly wanted to kiss her. I don't know why, I just did.

So I kissed her, and it was amazing. By far the best kiss I've ever had.

But sadly, it wasn't my first. I've had other girlfriends, but none of then made me feel the way Brittany did. And we weren't even dating yet!

We broke apart after about a minute of kissing.

"We should probably go back inside" she says.

"Yeah. Let's go. Do you want me to climb down first?"

"Nah, I got this."

I swear, I've never seen someone climb up OR down a tree as fast as her, and she had a cast on her arm! It was pretty funny.

"Okay, your turn!" she shouts once she got to the bottom.

Then I start to climb down. It takes me way longer than it took her, but I made it down alright.

"We're probably going to leave soon" she says, frowning.

"Awe, do you think you could stay?" I ask.

"I don't know. I'll ask my parents."

Then we went inside.

"Mom, dad, Hayes invited me to spend the night. Do you think I could?" she asked.

I went over and asked my mom if it was okay too. She said it was fine.

"Hmmm, I guess that's okay" her father says. "Is it okay with Hayes' mom?"

"Oh yes, it's fine with me" she says.

"Yes! Thank you!" she says and hugs both of them. "But I need to go back and get my stuff."

"Yes. We're going to head back now. Thank you Mrs. Grier for the lovely dinner. It was delicious." Brittany's mom says.

"Oh your welcome! Thank you all for coming!" my mom replies.
