Chapter 18

Okay I am sosososo sorry I haven't updated in like...forever ):

•Brittany's POV•

The things that those girls said really hurt me. But I knew that I would have to get used to it if I wanted to say with Hayes.

Once we safely snuck out of the store, we decided to just head back to our condo. We knew that no matter where we went in the mall, the fans would crowd us and we would have to leave.

"Hey, are you sure you're okay?" Hayes asks.

"Yeah I'm fine. I'm just not used to it yet. It's kinda hard at first."

"Yeah it is. It took me awhile to get used to it myself. All of the hate and insults. It's terrible. You just can't let it get to you. Try to brush it off because none of the hate they give you is true."

"Hayes you're so sweet" I say, blushing. "What do you think we should do once we get back to the condo?" I ask.

"How about we rent a movie to watch?" he suggests. "I think there's a redbox outside the mall."

"Okay!" I reply.

Once we found the redbox, I let Hayes pick out the movie because I had to idea what to get.

Of course, he picked out the scariest one they had.

The Purge: Anarchy

(I know it hasn't come out yet I just wanted them to watch this)

"Hayes that looks scary" I say.

"Don't worry, I'm sure it's not TOO bad" he replies.

"Alright, but if I have nightmares, I'm blaming you" I say, laughing.

"Hahaha okay. Now let's get outa here before we get mobbed again" he says.

So we then made our way to the bus stop. We only had to wait about ten minutes for the bus to come and about ten more to get back to our condos.

Once we were back, it was about 7:00 at night.

"Hayes I'm going to go say hi to my family and change into my pajamas. Then I'll come over to your place so we can watch our movie."

"Okay sounds good. See ya soon" he replies with a wink.

Then I went into my condo and told my parents about our little "movie date" planned for tonight.

They said it was fine so then I went into my room to change.

I took off my clothes I had been wearing and put on my fuzzy green pajama pants with my schools volleyball t-shirt. Then I texted Hayes.

Me: on my way over

Hayes: ok see ya soon😉

And with that I walked across the hall to Hayes' place.

•Hayes' POV•

I picked out a scary movie on purpose because I wanted her to get scared so I could comfort her.

I thought it was a good excuse to cuddle. And she seemed okay with it which was good.

Then there was a knock at the door so I leapt up and ran to go get it.

"Hey Hayes" Brittany said when I opened the door.

She was wearing her pajamas and she still looked beautiful. How? I don't even know.

"Hello Britt" I say smiling.

Then I lead her to my room and sat down on the bed. She then came and sat next to me.

"I hope this isn't too scary" she says as I start the movie.

"Don't worry. If you get scared, I'll try my best to comfort you" I reply.

She smiles and scoots closer to me and leans back so her back was resting on the wall. I lean back to and lace my fingers through hers. She looks at me and blushes.

Then the movie started.

She did get scared, but I did my best to comfort her like I promised.

About three-fourths of the way through the movie, she fell asleep leaning against me with her head resting on my shoulder.

I was getting pretty tired myself so I decided to turn off the movie and go to sleep too.
