‘Chard…’ Tawag nito sa binatang busy sa pagkain.

‘Mmmm…’

‘...Feeling ko crush na kita.’ She said nonchalantly that made him choked from what he is eating.

After   an hour of trying to get his wits again sa sinabi ni Raine, Richard found himself grinning like an idiot while she’s busy listing down some things regarding their wedding.

‘Chard, after the wedding and reception diretso na tayo sa bagong house no? Okey lang ba if tomorrow I’ll start to transfer few of my things there para hindi na hassel?’

‘Ikaw…bahala ka.’ Was his only response. She looked at him with lifted brow.

‘Ano ba namang mga sagutan yan? K. kaw bahala. Yes. Sure. Up to you. Bilis na Chard I need your inputs in here. Hindi tayo magbabahay-bahayan dito for your information.’ She seem restless by the thought of their approaching union.

‘Do I smell fear again?’ He asked questioningly looking intently at her. She frowned in defeat.

‘I don’t know. I’m afraid to make a mess out of this. I don’t know how to become a good wife. Heck, I don’t bother cooking everyday either. Basta Chard ah, even if this is something they pushed us into please don---'

He cut her because he doesn’t like what’s he’s hearing.

‘Forever and ever. Always, remember? Baka ikaw ang na-push dito pero not me. I like this idea of marrying you, being the privileged person to have you by my side for the rest of my life. Now if you still have doubts na baka iwanan kita if you mess up or kung mabagok ako, think of this: you’re stuck with me. I’ll always cling to you kahit na ipagtulakan mo ako palayo. Ok?’

Her mouth ajar, stunned by his confession. She doesn’t know how to react. Since day one Richard had been consistent on his seemingly ‘like’ towards her. Unexplainable it may seem but she knows it is true, it is genuine and pure.

And so, with her heart racing because of the security he gave her once again, she thought that maybe it’s about time to reciprocate his feelings towards her. She was a shy and a guarded woman with a bad history of unrequited love from her best friend. How can she show affection this time?

‘Chard, pano kaya ako makakabawi sa’yo?’ Was her quick question without even thinking.

He sighed deeply while looking at her endearingly.

‘Just marry me. I’m more than satisfied with that.’

He was about to say something more when they heard a faint knock on his door.

‘Uy may tao baka si Peter.’ Sabi ni Raine.

‘Hindi si Peter yan. He won’t dare to bother us pagkatapos nya akong inisin kanina. Wait lang let me check on that. Oh san ka pupunta?’

‘Restroom lang. hugas lang ako ng hands.’

Both of them walked oppositely, Richard going to the front door while Raine to the restroom. Binuksan nito ang pinto and saw the person on the other side.

Liza.

‘Oh, hey, Liz what brought you here?’ Medyo takang tanong nito.

‘Ahmm…’ She mumbled while secretly peeking on his back like looking for something.

‘What?’ He asked again.

‘Can I come in Rj?’

‘Why?’ Taong nito na hindi malaman kung anong nais ng kaibigan.
