In the morning, Jace and Alina had breakfast brought up for all of us. They had french brioche toast, bacon, and eggs. It also included one glass of orange juice and two glasses of what I assume is blood. I, however, had smaller portions since my stomach isn't ready for hefty food. We ate and talked and had an adorable breakfast together. Well really they talked, and I mind spoke with Alina who repeated it. Did I mention that I miss my voice? Then a knock on the door interrupted us,

"Hey Jace, can I talk to you for a second?" King Damien's voice rang in my ears. Instantly I jumped up in fear. Oh god, he knew I was here? Could he hear my heart beating or something? What am I going to do now? Alina stood up with me and pulled me swiftly to the bathroom.

"Yeah wassup," Jace replies casually. The King steps into the room, and Alina covers my mouth. She left the door cracked, but we were in the far corner of the bathroom. I could see Jace and the King from the mirror. I wanted to run. Like straight up run right out the door. Hiding in the bathroom is like asking the King to catch me.

"Well, don't think this is odd or anything but last night I slept walked all the way to your door. Like something was calling for me. Isn't that weird?" he replies with a sheepish grin. Jace stands up from his bed and clasps his hand on Damien's shoulder. Jace had a big smile on his face.

"Well, I am the most attractive brother. It's only right that the gods pull you to my room for my beauty tips." Brothers?! These people are related to him?! Oh, I am so screwed. Jace and Alina could protect me, but they could only go so far. If it ever came down to Damien or me, I'm pretty damn sure they would pick the King. I am so screwed! Damien rolled his eyes and shook Jace's hand off his shoulder.

"You are definitely not the best looking brother."

"Where's your annoying wife?" Damien questioned. I knew they were married.

"Getting ready for our company," Jace smirks. The King gave me a small shake and walked towards the door.

"Whatever suits you, brother. Just try not to break any more furniture like last time."

"Oh, that was one time!" Jace replies and Damien left while chuckling out the door. After a few moments, Alina let go, and I went barreling out of the bathroom. I was furious. How could he not mention that they were related?! I am really starting to question my judge of character. I always seem to find the good in people and hope that it resurfaces, but atlas people continue to disappoint. Here I thought these people are my friends or at least close to friends.

"She's pretty mad." Alina smiles lightly. Jace turns to face me.

"I know your upset about the whole 'brothers' thing, but we're still going to protect you." I looked at them both questionable. There was no way to tell if they were lying or not. I guess we will see. However, I couldn't sit around here sick as a goat while that animal stalks the door. I had to heal. I would have to take some of their blood. I looked at Alina and then back to the glass filled with unfinished blood. Her eyebrow raised,

"You want our blood?" I nod.

"Why the change of heart?" Jace asks. I pointed at the door and then looked back at him like he was crazy. Is it insane? I want to at least have a fighting chance against that man? Alina was staring at me which meant she was reading my mind. She laughed, and Jace looked over at her,

"She said she wants a fighting chance against Damien." Jace laughed as well before walking over to the breakfast trolley. He picked up the jam knife and slid it across his palm. Alina poured out my orange juice and then brought the cup up under Jace's hand. His thick crimson blood ran into the container. He filled it about a quarter full and then passed it to me. This brings back memories of my birthday a few summers ago where I had my first glass of ale. My best friend at the time, Alice, poured it for me at the tavern we both worked at and drunk all night. I took the cup and stared into it.
