Chapter 5

It has been months that Maria has been working with Alexander MacLaine. And it has not been a day that they stop fighting, Maria felt strange that she was not yet fire by him yet for fighting and disagreeing with him in everything. Like how she place his clothes in the closet, how she clean his study room, how she was always slow when he called her and the worse so far was she forget to make his favorite coffee every morning and ask Alice to do it.

Maria was cleaning his room when she accident knock his paper works. She quickly pick it up even though Alex is not around somehow Alex knew that she had done something to make him mad and she don't want that. While she was placing the papers on the table, she saw a form that he had fill up. She was his birthday.

"Oh my god!!!It his birthday tomorrow!!!" she said while she place the paper onto the table while she run down to see Alice who was cleaning the living area.

"Alice....Alice...." said Maria. Alice look at Maria who was running towards her.

"What up did you find something that I can gossip?" said Alice. Alice love gossips. Any gossips fro celebrity, her boss or even her neighbor but still she is a lovely person and the most crazy person she ever met.

"I saw a form and I saw that he's birthday is tomorrow. Why don't we surprise him?" said Maria who was excite when she suggest it.

"Ah.....he does not like birthday sorry Maria."

"But why?"

"I don't know but he does not like it!"

"did you ever celebrate it?"

"No."

"How do you know that he does not like it?"

"Because once I saw him throwing away a birthday cake which someone had present it to him." said Alice while she continue her work.

"But can we just try!!! I really want to celebrate his birthday. Anyway maybe when you saw him throwing, maybe it's not he does not like to celebrate but he does not like it. I will make the cake." said Maria begging Alice.

"But you know how picky he is. All his food that we get is all expensive even I don't use a bottle of olive oil that would cost me 200 dollar!"

"I know his taste. He would love it....Please...." said Maria. Alice saw how she was begging and she could not say no and she agree even thought she know that she will regret it later.

"Fine!!! But don't look at me when he throw your cake!!!" warn Alice.

"I understand!!!Thank you!!!" said Maria while she start to walk to the kitchen to see what she need to buy for her cake.

Alex was at his office and saw that Maria had prepare something for him for breakfast since he had to leave early then normal to the office that day. She prepare him a french toast with fresh syrup, 2 sunny side up eggs and a ham and cheese sandwich. She even prepare hot coffee which she put into a hot mug which make the coffee hot all day. He was impress that she would do that for him. He remember what his mother use to do when Liam and him was small. She would prepare food in take away box, she would make them funny and cute so that we can have them during recess. But when he remember that he would feel sad that his mother was no longer alive.

"Damn Maria!!!" said Alex while he started to eat his breakfast.

After he finish, he wanted to threw the box when he saw a small note which Maria paste at the bottom of the box.

"Boss please do not throw away this box and mug. Please kept back into the bag that I have given you and ask Bruno to send I back to me. I brought this with my own money :( please don't throw. I beg you!!!" when he read it he laugh and says,

"That cute!!!" then he look at the box again.

"Did I just said that!!" he said to himself while throwing the note to his table.

"Nope...I was mistaken. I just happy that I have eaten nice food. And that is not cute at all!!" he said to himself again. Not wanting to agree with his heart that he thought that the note was cute. He has never said anyone cute or pretty except his late mother and the girl who his heart Elizabeth . He then dial Bruno number and told him to come up to his office.

After ten minutes Bruno walk into the office when suddenly Alex throw a bag which have the mug and lunch box that Maria had prepare him. Alex look at Bruno and says,

"Tell Maria do not write any stupid note anymore I hate it!" while he trying his keyboard. Bruno pick it up and says,

"Will do boss! Where's the note I give it to her back?"

"I threw it away!" lie Alex. He had paste it at his monitor without realizing that he was doing it. Bruno did not say anything and walk out.
