Chapter 30

Annette look at her watch and saw that it was already 9.30pm it's time for her to clock out. It has been a whole month that she had started to work at the country club at the horse shack. She walk to Link her horse that Alex had given to her and started feed her. She was not hunger nor tired when she start to work there. Right after that night that J saw her in the tub full with blood, Annette knew that she could no longer feel pain and her heart is no longer with the company. So she called her personal lawyer who was not Marcus and transfer all her share to Clinton and give the company to Clinton and Marcus. She wanted to forget everything that had happen and continue her life alone.

Annette out her arm around Link her horse. It make her forget time for a while. As she let the time pass, she heard someone called her name from behind. She turn around, she thought that one of her colleague might have called her, she turn around and was shock to see someone she never thought would have see again.

"Alex!!!" she said to herself. Alex look at her and was relieve that he found her. He smile at her from a far. Annette smile back while her eyes were full with tears. Alex slowly walk to her and says,

"You are hiding her now?"

"Not hiding but working here now!" said Annette. Alex stop in front of her, he could not imagine himself with anyone other then her. She's the one for him and no one else. She had cure almost everyone in her life including him and his brother and now she want to cure her. He wants to be the one that fill her heart again with love and happiness. He then pull Annette towards him and hug her tightly making Annette unable to react to what he had just did.

"I was an idiot to have just let you go like that. I was a fool to not follow my heart and insist that your betrayal is much more then my love for you. I'm sorry...I am so sorry!" said Alex tears roll out from her eyes. Annette pull him away from her and says,

"Just go Alex don't lie to yourselves, don't force yourselves to love me just because I could not feel pain." Annette wanted to walk away when Alex run in front of her and says,

"I'm not forcing myself I want you! I was the one who betray myself not you. You were the same person all along whether it be Maria or Annette you just you. And I want to be part of your life, I want to create a family that you lose. "Annette looks at him and saw how sincere he was about wanting to make a family with her.

"I saw your house, it is very beautiful. I could imagine us having our family there, you and me with our children running around near the beach. I know that you would be a great wife and the best mother any children would ever have. I love you Annette, I love you very much and I want to spent every day with you. Let's go back together with me!" said Alex again waiting for her answer. Annette then continue to walk pass him, Alex did not do anything as he thought that was her answer. Annette stop at her track and turn around.

"If we were to go back, I'll be everywhere will that be alright with you?" said Annette while looking at Alex. Alex turn around and smile.

"Wherever you might be I'll wait for you." said Alex while he run towards her and hug her tightly.

"I'll heal you and protect you wherever you go. I promise!" said Alex again. Annette could not say anything but she started to feel something in her heart that ensures her Alex will not only heal her but make her the happiest person in the world.

5 years later....

Annette walks out to the balcony where she and J had prepare a feast for her twins birthday. She place the final dish onto the table and look up to the beach where Alex, the twins, Marcus and some other invited guest was playing at the beach. She smile at herself, she could not believe that it has been 5 years right after Alex found her at the horse shack. She could not even believe that she was even married.

"What are thinking about?" said Clinton who was standing behind her. Annette woke up from her daze and turn around smiling at Clinton.

"Nothing...nothing special." said Annette.

"You know I would never think that you would be getting married by now." said Clinton.

"You thought so too! To think of it, I wanted to die alone actually while leaving everything to you!" said Annette while she sat down on the chair.

"I am happy that you are happy. I want to see you smile like that every day." said Clinton while she walks down to the beach to reunite with her husband.

Right after Alex bought her back home that night, Clinton and Marcus were super happy that Alex had found her. She apologize to them for leaving and given the company to them even when they told her a lot of time that they don't want to take over the company. Clinton had made her promise to them that she would not disappear again, they transfer back her share and ownership of the company. A few months later, Alex proposes to her and 2 months later they were married. After 3 months she found out that she was pregnant with a twin and that make them happier and they felt complete. Mr. MacLaine and Liam accept her and since she is the founder and owner of Alive.Co Mr MacLaine did not mind having a multi billionaire as his daughter in law. Liam still help Alex with the company even when Alex became that president of The MacLaine Company. Liam got married to an ordinary girl who he met. Clinton and Marcus finally had a child of their own. Alice became Annette new best friend and she had told her about her real identity, she was shock at first but she manage to accept the fact when she was told that her husband was being promoted thanks to Annette.

Alex walks up the balcony where Annette was looking down at them. He walks behind her and give her a bear hug.

"Thank you for always being with me for the last 5 years!" said Alex. Annette smile and turn to him and says,

"You know what I want us to have another 5 more years after this just like this!"

"And another 5 more years after that?" said Alex.

"Yap and another 5 more years after that too!" said Annette while giving out a small laugh. Alex turns her over to him and gives her a peck in her lips and says,

"I want to be with you for the rest of our life just like this. I love what we have now and I want it to stay like that forever."

"Just like this? Forever?"

"Just like this with you, especially you forever!" said Alex before he pull her towards him and kiss her lips passionately. The sky that day was so blue, the sun was not so hot and the breeze was just nice. The life that both of them thought they would never felt came true, they know with all of their heart that they were made for each other.
