The next day, Maria wake up early to make Alex breakfast. While she was half way preparing, Alex came down and saw her standing at the kitchen. He quickly went to her and carry her up.
"Wow...Boss!!! What are you doing?" said Maria. Alex look at her and says,
"You need to rest so that the wound can heal faster. How can you still...Never mind!!" said Alex while he wanted to bring her back to her room but Maria stop him.
"Wait...But I need to make your breakfast first!" said Maria.
"I can eat out!!!" said Alex.
"It half way done.. just need to do the eggs." said Maria. Alex look at the kitchen top and saw that she had prepare his breakfast but only the eggs has not been done. Alex put her on the chair and says,
"I'll do the eggs!!"
"Can you cook?"
"Well you will be amaze that I can cook my dear." said Alex. Alex start to prepare the egg and started to make his sunny side up eggs. Once he had done the eggs, he took the egg and place it on to the plate and place it together with the rest of his breakfast.
"See...I can make eggs!!!!" said Alex.
"Oh...so you can cook for dinner for tonight?" said Maria.
"Uh... NO!!!! That your job and I am too lazy to make anything, so I will get Alice to cook." Said Alex while he carry her again and walk to the dining area and put her down on the chair before he run back to the kitchen to take the tray of food. He places the tray on the table and sat down his usual spot. He then starts to cut the sausage, poke it with his fork and wanted to feed Maria but Maria moves her head away and says,
"What are you doing?"
"Feeding you comes on open your mouth!!!" said Alex.
"I have eaten something before this. Please eat!!!" said Maria while she push his hand away.
"Are you sure?"
"Yes boss I'm not a baby. Thank you!!" said Maria while Alex continue to eat. Right after he eat his breakfast, he carry her up and walk to her room. He places her down at the bed and sat beside him.
"I'll call Alice and ask her to give you the medicine. Don't worry about the cleaning; don't come down from the bed. Need anything just call Alice or me! Understand?"
"Don't worry I'll be fine!!! Anyway you should stop acting like this?"
"Like what?"
"Like this overly caring, overly nice and overly making me really ....."
"Really what?"
"Really like you!"
"You what! Did you just say you like me?" Said Alex while Maria nod her head while hiding her face with her hands because she was blushing when she told him at she like him. Alex pulls her hands down and says,
"Say that again!!!"
"No...I not going to say it again!!" said Maria.
"Come please say it again." Beg Alex showing his puppy face to her.
"Alright fine... " said Maria while she sat properly in front of Alex, look at him and says,
"I...huh...I....I can't do it!!!" said Maria as she pull herself backwards and lean herself at the pillow.
"Oh...Come on...Please!!! I have all day!!" said Alex while he get comfortable.
"Can you please just go to work!!"
"Not until you tell you like me! Come on!!"
"Alright... But I need you to close your eyes first!!"
"Why!!"
"Just do it!!"
"Alright...okay...my eyes are close." said Alex with his eyes close. Maria move closer and says softly,
"I like you Alexander MacLaine!" Alex opens his eyes and saw Maria beautiful face and says,
"I like you too maybe a little bit more." while he move closer towards her and kiss her soft pink lips again but this time Maria slowly response to his kiss.
"Maria looks what I....." Alice stops and stares at Alex and Maria who was kissing. When they heard Alice voice Alex and Maria quickly pull away from each other. Alex turns around, quickly stood up and walks out for the room. Alice looks at Alex shyly walking away. Maria who was already cover herself in blanket embarrass that Alice caught her kissing her boss. Alice run toward Maria and says,
"What the hell just happen?" while she pull the blanket away from Maria.
"So are you guys a thing now?" said Alice again who was overly excited.
"I don't know!!!" said Maria shyly.
"Ah...his face was so red....I will spread..."
"Alice...no you can't. What will people say? He is my boss...our boss! He be embarrass!!" said Maria while she suddenly pull Alice hand.
"But Maria I...don't think..."
"Please don't I beg you! You can gossip anything in the world but not him!" said Maria begging Alice not to tell anyone about what she had saw. Alice breathes out and says,
"Alright I promise!!!" Alice hugs Maria. It was the best day of her life, she knows that she can't be with him for long but she wanted to cherish what they have. Even for a while.
