Especially My Maid!!!!

Chapter 6

Maria has done the final decoration on the cake. She doesn't know if he would like it. Maria took the cake and put it into the fridge. She then continues to do her work. She has asked Alice to make extra food so that they can celebrate Alex birthday. By 7pm Alice has prepare food and took out the cake and wait for Alex. Everyone was waiting and waiting but he did not come back yet. Slowly one by one when back home.

"While...I think he is back late, why don't you take all this food home for you children, at least is not wasted" said Maria.

"When I thought that I going to get drunk tonight." said Alice while she takes the take away boxes which was inside the cardboard.

"We can still get drunk if you get a sitter tomorrow night!" said Maria while putting the cake back into the fridge.

"No...Mike is taking me and the kids to his parents on Sunday and I need to be free of alcohol. I will be bore drinking when I reach to their house." said Maria.

"Ohh...have fun."

"Uh...his parents the worse. Always about them and how rich their other son is and we have to hear it over and over and over and over again. Imagine how annoying you can be and every time they talk about it and my love Adam always escape." said Alice while Maria look at her new found friend.

"What does your husband do as?" said Alice while throwing the plates and bowls to the dishwasher.

"Do you know the Alive Co.?"

"Yes...they are big...competitor of our boss!"

"He work there...has been working there night and day but he still the assistant supervisor in the office. There were a manager post he tries but they are still pending.'

"I hope that he get it."

"Well I hope too. I'll going to leave now. You are still waiting for him to come back?"

"In 10 minutes, yes if not I'll be sleeping." said Maria.

"Good night...see you tomorrow." Said Alice while leaving the kitchen.

Maria breathes out and sighs. After a long 2 hours waits finally she went back to the kitchen, switch off the light and went to bed.

Alex walk into the kitchen and open the fridge wanted to take some cold water after he has party all night. When he open the fridge and took the water, he was surprise to see a cake and written on it has wording, "Happy Birthday Day Boss!!" he was shock it see it.

"Oh...!!!" Now he felt bad. No one has made him feel this bad other than his mother before. He places his head on the fridge door. Now he felt guilty for not coming home and celebrates it with Maria then he thought to himself.

"Why should I feel bad? I am the boss and she a maid. I did not ask her to make it for me. I think I have too much to drink." He said while he closes the fridge.

The next morning, Alex woke up after his alarm when off. Like he always do on a week days, he will do his usual routine. After he took his bath, he went to the dining room to be served for breakfast. He sat down and waits for Maria and Alice to serve him breakfast. Maria came in with his morning coffee and Alice brought in his big breakfast. After Maria place his coffee beside him, Alex say,

"Why is there a cake inside the fridge?" with his stern voice. Alice look at Maria and Maria just smile and says,

"I make it...I thought we could celebrate your birthday but Boss you came back late. That why I put inside the fridge."

"Alice did you tell her that I don't celebrate birthdays!" said Alex.

"I did but!!!" said Alice but before she can finish talking Alex cut her and says,

"But she did not listen like always. Maria remembers this I don't eat homemade birthday cake and I don't celebrate birthday with any one especially you. Understand!" Maria face change but she still keep her smile.

"Oh...I'm sorry Mr. MacLaine I'll throw the cake away and I remember the next time. Excuse me sir." Alex looks at her and saw that she was hurt by what she has said towards her. He did not mean what he said but he's the boss.

"Where are you going?" said Alex.

"I'm going to throw it away sir." Said Maria while she went into the kitchen. Alice look at Maria and Mr. MacLaine. She too felt bad. It was Maria first time making the cake and she use her money to but all the top ingredient.

"Excuse me Boss let me get more sauce for you." Said Alice while she quickly when to the kitchen. Alex was still shock by the answer that Maria has given to her. He felt bad and could not continue to eat his breakfast. He decided to eat his breakfast out. He could not effort to show them his nicer side because it not him. He is a mean boss the bad one. He took his bag and cot and proceed out. When he pass by the kitchen he overheard Alice voice,

"Why did you throw it away? "said Alice.

"Because he's not going to eat it." Said Maria.

"But you made it for the first time and you bought all the expensive ingredient to make it. It sure a waste, you can let me bring it home and let my kids have it."

"I make it for him...I curse a lot! I make another one for your kids. I promise." Said Maria. Alice just looks at her speechless. Alex felt really bad but he shakes it off and walk away.
