John made it into work on the edge of being late, he chuckled to himself as he glanced up at the clock. He curled his hand around the tip of his chair and pulled it out, hanging his bag on the side. Stuart followed him with his eyes with an expression unreadable to most people but Astrid registered it well as she pulled her eyes from him. She sat back down gracefully in her chair and gave Pattie an honestly annoyed look. Pattie quirked her eyebrows and Astrid just stuck her thumb out behind her to gesture to Stu with a deep frown on her face. Pattie giggled and wiped under her eyes as they welled, her pink eyeshadow dust smudging over her fingertip.

"Oh damn." She frowned as she just smudged it on her pant leg. The dust, being so vibrant gave it a temporary stain. Astrid chuckled as Pattie sighed and excused herself to the loo. As she walked, she brushed her hair behind her ear and avoided pressing anymore of the dust on her finger across her pants. As she passed through the door to the back area, she caught a sight of George seemingly pulling his face from a very intimate position with Ringo. She froze, twisting her dust covered finger in her opposite fist. As Ringo stood up from his hunched position, he caught sight of her.

"Pattie!" He looked rather shocked and caused George to snap his head round to look at her, he looked much more annoyed than Richard. She couldn't think of much more than to just smile awkwardly and hover her hands. She pointed down the small hall towards the loo.

"Just passing by..." She chuckled and as soon as she turned away, she gritted her teeth and cringed slightly. She made it into the loo and flicked the sink on, setting a paper towel slightly and wiping it against the fabric of her pants. The wet splotch might've bothered her for a few minutes of the day if something else hadn't just crammed its way in there. She realized just as she went back towards the door that she'd probably be stopped by them and she hesitated. But she didn't have much options so she flung the door open and slowly walked back into the area. George was still in his seat but Richard had vacated the room which worried her a little. George leaned forward and put his elbows on his knees.

"The office doesn't need to know about this, ok?" He sighed, Pattie nodded and tilted her head down towards him. Her face just read as neutral. She crossed her arms and pressed her tongue into the side of her cheek. George looked at her expectingly and she sighed too.

"That's the first time I've ever seen you with-um-" she pointed her finger as if the gesture would be enough. George rolled his eyes.

"A guy?"

"Yeah." She shrugged. She again went that mousy sort of quiet that was going to drive George nuts. She didn't make any move to leave so he assumed she had more to say.

"Pattie?" He asked, tapping a pen against his hand and she opened her mouth.

"It was just, weird to see you like that with a lad and all-"

"Not the first guy I've been with since we broke up Pattie." George cut her short and turned himself in the seat to face his desk, trying to show her that the conversation was over but she suddenly didn't want it to end, especially not like that so Pattie just stomped over to his desk and stood next to it, her hip hitting the side.

"Yeah but it's not like I've ever had to see it before." She rolled her eyes and he gave her a confused look. "It's just, seeing someone you've been with...well with someone else, it's just awkward." She did an odd sort of shivering and rolled her lips together. George gave her an amused look.

"I think I know what that's like."

Pattie giggled, "yeah well." She rubbed a spot beside her nose but had still yet to move from her stationary spot and George frowned.
