Aurora's POV (as always :))I held my breath as John pushed the grand front doors open. They opened to reveal a flurry of activity. People were rushing to and fro, all around me. Drew squeezed my hand in reassurance, and acknowledged every sign of respect directed towards him.
We weren't in the house for long before I heard a bellowing voice sound through the massive halls.
"Drew, welcome back!" A tall, tan man greeted. His bright blue eyes stood in contrast with his beautiful skin and dark hair.
He embraced Drew and John in friendly embraces before turning to me. "And who might you be?"
"I'm Aurora," I smiled, outstretching a hand. "Drew's mate." The man's eyes changed to show signs of excitement.
"Drew finally found his mate! I can't believe this! Er- I mean congratulations!" He waved away my hand and pulled me into a warm hug. "I'm Joseph by the way, Drew's uncle of sorts." He chuckled. "I hope I'm not being to forward now."
I laughed with and and assured him that he was not overstepping at all. "You'll have to excuse me, I have pack business to attend to. Drew, are you coming?" Joseph continued. After both men left, I turned to John, uncertain as to what I should say.
"How would you like a tour?" He asked, breaking the silence.
Grateful for something to do, I was more than happy to agree.
As we began our tour, I could feel a sense of pride from John. This was his home, yet I was confused. I thought only the higher ups in the pack could stay in the pack home, yet John hadn't turned yet? How could he know his way around the house if he didn't already live here?
I turned the corner and ran into a solid wall of muscle. Who is this now?
