shown in the picture above is the family's new house!

aurora's pov:

The dew glistened on the rose petals flanking the well paved road with the early morning light. The sun was barely over the horizon when we pulled into our new home on Mulberry Street. It is our first day in Ashford, Washington, and the seventh move in my life. My name is Aurora, I'm 17, and the oldest of three children. I am constantly told that I resemble my mother with wavy dirty blonde hair, blue eyes, and fair skin. My younger brother James is 14, and the youngest Nick is 10. Both of my brothers look like my father, with brown hair and eyes. I can't help but feel nervous for my first day as a senior  at Ashford High School, but seriously i should be used to being the new kid by now. My brothers have only experienced four of my family's moves, but I certainly don't remember the places we lived before they were born. I am tired of moving, so it was a sigh of relief to find that we are going to stick around long enough for me to graduate. My junior year was a mess, as we moved to a new town halfway through the school year. The change was abrupt, and still leaves questions unanswered. When I asked my parents why we left, they always changed the subject. Still, I am finally getting to finish a school in a place I can call home, even if it is only for a short while. My entire life, I have had questions. I never seem to fit in anywhere, and always have wondered if it was somehow my fault. I consider myself to be normal, even if I am a bit more on the quiet side.

Lost in my thoughts, I didn't notice the car veering off the road into a circular driveway. My gaze shifted from my thoughts to my surroundings, and took in the massive house before me. The home stretches beyond what my eyes can see, emitting several gasps from my little brothers.

James and Nick jumped out of the moving car that was still pulling into the driveway, and dashed to the front door. The new house is beautiful, with a white stone exterior and black shutters, much like the ones surrounding it.

"Looks like someone's excited!" exclaimed Aurora's father.

The car finally came to a stop right in front of the tall oak double doors. I slowly made my way to the entrance, trying to appreciate the last home I would ever live in with my parents. College is looming and I could not be more stressed. Now that we are in Washington state, my parents are trying to convince me to attend school here. I'm not so sure. Still, enough about college, I talk about it way too much nowadays. On my slow journey over the cobblestones, my eyes shifted to the right, admiring a similar mansion next door. That home is a nice beige color, with other neutral accents. In my reverie, I didn't notice their front door slam as a young face emerged. A teenage boy who looked to be about my age, perhaps older, was in a hurry to his truck. I honestly can't help myself, I have to pry into other people's lives.

"Where are you of to in such a hurry?" I directed at him.

His footsteps faltered for a moment as he turned to face me. "Hey, didn't see you there. You must be our new neighbors."

"That's me. I'm Aurora."

"That's a beautiful name, Aurora. I'm John. It's very nice to meet you." He smiled with a wink. Good lord, this boy is trouble. I can already tell that he gets plenty of attention from the ladies around here. Still, I'm always a sucker for a cute smile.

"Nice you meet you too," I responded with my own little smile. It doesn't hurt to flirt a little right?

"Do you need some help unpacking? I'm stronger than I look." he offered. Oh honey, trust me, I can tell that you're strong. His muscles bulged from underneath his shirt. Wait, what was he saying? Right, moving in.

"Don't you have someplace to be? You looked like you were in a hurry earlier."

"That can wait, I'd rather be here with you." He grinned, flashing another famous smile. I already know that I'm in over my head.

"Well come on then! Let's get you started." He follows closely behind me as we head to the moving truck. He smells faintly of the woods and a summer campfire. A heavenly scent for a heavenly boy. He has an almost angelic look to him. He towers over me, most likely standing around 6'4, compared to my 5'6. His skin glows with countless hours spent under the sun, complimenting his bright blue eyes and blonde hair. Yup, definitely an angel.
