Chapter 19: Cleon's POV

Indie told everyone her dream. I listened intently, wondering who out there is serving an ancient creature. Apparently, Aphrodite loved our company and begged us to let her stay for the night. I've never had a god or goddess sleep in the same room as me. It seemed-- well -- awkward.

We settled down in the wall. (It sounds weird). Alexandria kindly offered to give up her bed to Aphrodite.

Do you ever get the feeling that you're being watched? Well, I felt like that. I was facing the wall at one point in my bed, but I then turned. A beautiful creature just stared at me. I stifled a scream. That wouldn't have been manly.

"What?" she said innocently. Aphrodite fluttered her eyes. I almost drooled. Man, was she pretty. I got the picture that she was a stalker.

"Uh, hi," I said startled.

"Hello, dear. I see your dad is Morpheus!"

"Yeah..."

"Ooh! You need a makeover or perhaps a shower," she said enthusiastically.

"No! I mean, no thank you, Aphrodite," I replied quickly. This dude was not going to get a makeover whatsoever. She frowned. I thought she was going to make me fall in love with the wall right there. She had other plans. She yanked me from my wall bed and dragged me to another room. Aphrodite did some magic, and it turned into a beauty salon. Listen, I did not sign up for this. Don't even think about it.

"Let's get started!" she said happily. She put my on a chair with wheels and pushed me towards this beauty salon washing sink. She tilted my head back and turned on the water. I am going to die before this is over! I shrieked nervously in my head.

"Now, now, dear. You don't need to be nervous," she said like she actually read my mind. The water turned on. It was hot and relaxing. She then got shampoo once my hair was soaked. It smelled like lavender. Great. Now who wants to date dolled-up Cleon? Ooh! I have the answer. Absolutely no one.

Once she was done washing, she pushed me towards this place with lots of hair products. My eyes got wide. She got a hair dryer and dried my hair. She then strangely put a blindfold on me. She tied it quickly. I tried to get it off.

"Oh. I learned that knot from Procrusteus. He likes knots...and waterbeds," she said. I was very frusterated. She pretty much demigodnapped me.

After about 30 minutes, I was ready to go to sleep, but Aphrodite was just happily humming and doing weird things to my hair. I was dying to know what it looked like. I really hoped it wouldn't be bad. She muttered something and sprayed this awful concoction perfume on me. Yuck, yuck, yuck. I'm never going to get that at the store. I don't even think it's for boys or that they even sell this stuff.

"Are you ready?" she asked me mischievously. My heart started to beat fast.

"Yeah," I said nervously.

"Ta da!" she exclaimed as she pulled the blindfold off my head. I knew everything was wrong. I yelled.

"Oh my gods. Aphrodite! What have you done?!"

"You like it?" she said jubilantly. My face was flustered. Everyone on this ship will laugh at me until I die.

"Like it?!" I said angrily. She looked at me with puppy eyes. I sighed. "I love it, Aphrodite. Just out of curiosity, will this stuff come out?"

"10 months to be exact," Aphrodite replied. Oh great. She then picked me up like I was a teddy bear and carried me off to bed. Oh-kay. She oddly kissed me goodnight. Her kiss warmed up my cheek. I smiled. The love goddess kissed me! Score!

Two hours later, my eyes were bloodshot. Snooooorrrrreeee. I was going to yell, "Shut up!" but I then figured out it was Aphrodite. Forget the stupid kiss. She was getting on my last nerve! No one else except Alexandria seemed to notice. I exchanged glances with her. I quietly got up, and Alexandria did the same. Alexandria shook Aphrodite. She turned. We stared in horror. Aphrodite looked a little different. Her glamorous dress was replaced by a nightgown, and her jewelry was off: even some of her makeup was gone. Either this was the love goddess or a regular old mom.

Aphrodite sleepily grabbed Alexandria and snuggled with her. Alexandria's eyes said everything: help! I tried to help, but she pulled me in too.

The next morning, I was still in Aphrodite's bed. I quickly got up. Adam looked at me in horror. He said, "Dude, what happened to your hair?!"
