Chapter 17: Indie's POV

Great. Three demigods were gone. The last thing I saw of Derek was mist. A lady that smelled strongly of perfume arrived gracefully. I oddly began to grow jealous of her looks. It was probably the aura she sent off.

"Now, Notus," she said playfully. The god blushed. "You know I have very big plans for these amazing demigods, right?" Her voice calmed my nerves.

"Yes, Aphrodite. I knew that. It's just my lord I serve will pay me greatly if I take-" Notus started.

"Notus? You hear that? It's called reality. Leave this ship or I'll make you fall in love with a coconut," Aphrodite replied. Apparently, Notus didn't like coconuts, so he flew away, shaking his head in frusteration.

"Umm, hi Mom," Adam said embarrassed.

"Well aren't you a cute little cookie! My own little boy!" Aphrodite said in a baby talk tone. Adam's face turned completely red. Mine would have too if Poseidon called me that. I really think he wouldn't, though.

"Let's talk about this quest. I know Apollo told you about me helping you. If Notus comes back, just eat a coconut. It always works," Aphrodite said cheerfully.

"Ok...What about the missing demigods?" I asked desperately. We needed everyone to be present on the ship.

"Oh, those little rays of sunshine? Poseidon has charted them. He said that it might be a while till they get here." Everyone groaned. Suddenly, a perfume bottle appeared in Aphrodite's hand, and she sprayed everyone with this rose perfume.

Then Ralph said, "Aw, rats!"

"Rats?! Those disgusting creatures? Where?" Aphrodite said nervously.

"It's a figure of speech," he explained. Aphrodite sighed from relief. I thought this conversation was useless, so I went to get a shower. When I was done, I still reeked from the designers perfume. I groaned. I went out on deck where Aphrodite and the crew were playing a card game with miniature gods and goddesses.

"Whatcha playing?" I asked.

"Mythomagic. Want to play?" Destania answered.

"I'm good," I replied. The game seemed kind of kidish, though Aphrodite was playing it. Suddenly, I collapsed. A hazy image got clearer and clearer. Someone had called me for a dream.

"Did you get them?" a powerful and ancient voice asked.

"No, my lord," the voice answered shakily. I realized it was Notus.

"Do you remember the deal that we made? I will make Boreas never make cold again, while you serve and help me, yet you failed me again. I want you to get those three demigods off that island by sunset tomorrow or the deal is off," the ancient voice said angrily.

I opened my eyes again. Everyone was staring at me. "What happened?" Alexandria asked.

I then replied, "I don't know, but I had a dream that might be helpful."
