Bloodlust → Stefan Salvatore [1]

     I pound three times on the front door of the boarding house. The door swings open, Damon looks me up and down. "Finally, took you long enough." I roll my eyes, stepping inside the house. 

     "Sorry I'm not as fast as you." I glance over at the couch to see the face of a familiar woman. "Rose?" I question out loud. She stands up, facing me. "What's this about?" I ask. I hear someone enter the room behind me. I turn around to see Stefan. 

     "She has something to tell you." I sit down on the couch, Damon and Stefan stand on both ends.

     "You have to understand, I only know what Ive picked up over the years. I don't know what's true, or what's not true. That's the problem with all of this vampire crap."

     "Just get to the point." I tell her. 

     "Klaus. He is real, I know that for a fact."

     "Who is he?"

     "One of the originals, he's a legend." Damon buds in.

     "From the first generation of vampires." Stefan points out.

     "Like Elijah?" I ask.

     "No. Elijah was the easter bunny compared to Klaus." Rose corrects me, "Elijah is just a foot soldier. Klaus is the real deal." 

     "Okay, so, you're saying the oldest vampire in the history of time is coming after Elena and me?" 

     "Yes." Rose says, but Stefan replies at the same time, "No."

     "What their saying is-- I mean, if what she's saying is true..."

     "Which it is." Rose raises her eyebrows.

     "and you're not just saying it so we don't kill you..."

     "Which I'm not." Rose cuts off Damon again.

     "then we're looking at a solid maybe." Damon finishes. 

     "Look, Elijah's dead, right?" Stefan asks, "So no one else knows that you or Elena exist." Stefan tries to comfort me, "And, I've never even met someone who's laid eyes on him. We're talking sentries of truth mixed with fiction. For all we know, he could just be some sort of stupid bedtime story."

     "He's real." Rose insisted once more. 

     "Stop." I demand, they all go quiet. "We know that Klaus wants Elena because she is the doppelgänger, but why does he want me?" Stefan and Damon look at Rose, waiting for an answer.

     "Legend says that the original vampires were created by the original witch, Esther."

     "Lots of "originals"." Damon jokes.

     "Once Esther realized that she made a mistake, she made a spell that would put her magic inside the body of someone else who was capable enough to stop them. But she died before she got the chance to find the host."

     "So, what does this have to do with me?"

     "Esther used Gilbert blood create the spell. Which means--" I cut her off.
