     "Come on, Jeremy

"Come on, Jeremy. Leaving for school, walking out the door right now." Elena shouts. Jenna throws a sweater at her. Elena opens the door, and we both see a familiar face.
"Uncle John?" Jeremy walks down the stairs.
     "Uncle John?"
"I had some business in town and I thought a reunion was in order."
"How long will you be in town for?" I ask.
"I'm not sure yet." He says, unconvincingly.
"Okay, well we have to go to school." Elena announces, shoving us out the door.

Ric pulls me into his classroom. He has a confused look on his face. He hands me a bunch of papers.
"I think you should know that your brother wrote a report on vampires." I look through the pages.
"It's very clear he doesn't believe in them though." Ric ensures.
"I hope so, because I've risked too much to keep this from him." I put it back on his desk. I go to walk out, but I stop and turn around.
"Look, Ric, I know you don't like vampires, and at the end of the day you still see them as monsters, but I want you to know that Stefan would never hurt you."
"How can you be so sure?"
"He's never done anything to bury me or Elena."
"Hopefully it stays that way." Ric concludes the conversation.

I'm lying with Stefan in bed, just talking with him about Jeremy's report.
"I mean, why would Jeremy write a report on vampires? Do you think he's remembering?"
"No, that's not how compulsion works." Stefan assures.
"Good." I sigh.
"Just try to think of something else."
"Like what?" I ask. He kisses me.
"Like that." I kiss him back, and before I know it, I'm on top of him. He vamp speeds me underneath him, and he takes my shirt off. He goes in again, but pulls back. His eyes turn red and he begins to breath very heavy.
"Stefan?" He jumps backwards, breaking my lamp. He disappears out the window. What the hell just happened? I'm not dreaming am I?

"Did you know your uncle has been kicking it with the town council?" Damon informs me over the phone.
"Really? Another thing to add to the list of how everything is falling apart!"
     "Everything, you say?"
"Damon, I'm worried about Stefan. He's been acting so... weird, lately."
     "How so?"
"Last night we were talking and he got all freaked out. Damon, I saw it in his eyes, the hunger for blood. He says everything's okay, but it doesn't seem that way."
"Just, give it a few days."
"It had been a few days." I remind him.
"Then give him a few more! There's nothing you need to worry about." Damon says before hanging up the phone without another word said.

It's driving me crazy that Stefan isn't acting like himself. That's why Carol Lockwood's founding families party is the perfect opportunity to really see what's going on with Stefan. Of course, I show up late, fashionably late, not really. Mayor Lockwood shakes my hand at the front door.
"Blake Gilbert. It's been such a long time, how's the family doing?"
"We're managing to hold up well, wig everything that's happened."
"Well that's great news, enjoy the party." Knowing the Lockwood family, Tyler's probably off in a closet with 3 girls drinking his parent's vodka. At some point tonight, that's going to effect in some kind of public incident.
