The House Guest

I walk into the boarding house, seeing Damon sitting on the couch. I walk over to him, wondering if Stefan is nearby. "Hey. Where's Stefan?" I ask him.

"In his room." I turn around and walk past him, seeing a face I was not expecting to see.

"Elena? What are you doing here?" I ask.

"Just picking up some stuff." She tells me. I nod, walking past her, and going up the stairs.

"Stefan?" I ask before walking into his room, seeing Elena once again. Stefan walks out of his bathroom, seeing me standing there. "Elena, you were just--" My words are cut off. "Katherine." I finish. Stefan grabs her throat and pushes her against the dresser.

"What are you doing?!" She asks.

"How could you do this?!" Stefan shouts.

"Ow, Stefan, you're hurting me." She cries.

"Stop it, Katherine!" He growls. Suddenly, I hear someone walk up behind me.

"Stop what?" We all look, seeing the other Elena standing in the doorway. "It's getting really easy being you." Damon runs into the room behind her.

"What is she doing here?" Elena asks with a slight growl.

"When we killed Elijah, it broke the compulsion, and freed the bitch from the tomb." Damon tell us.

"How is that possible?" I ask.

"He's an original, they have all sorts of special tricks." Katherine rolls her eyes.

"I don't want you here, Katherine. Get her out of here." Elena says.

"You need me, Elena. You all do."

"Like hell." Stefan scoffs.

"We all want the same thing-- Klaus dead. Yet here you all are, running around like chickens with their heads cut off."

"I don't need your help, and I don't want it." Elena points out once again.

"That's incredibly stupid of you. Do you know where Klaus is? When he's coming? What he looks like?" I feel a shiver down my spine just hearing Katherine talking about this.

"If you know something, say it or get out." Damon demands.

"Fine. Then I'll just go to the grill, have some lunch. Maybe Aunt Jenna's free for a bite." Katherine teases. I grit my teeth, and go to step forward, but Stefan cuts me off with his arm.

"Let me drive you to school."

"No. At the moment, I'd rather be alone." I walk past him, and out of the room.

After school, I head to the grill. After eight missed calls from Stefan, Bonnie texted me and said that they planned a meeting with Jonas, the man who saved me at Jules' RV. I walk into the grill, and spot the group at a table. I walk over to them, and sit down beside Bonnie.

"So, what's the point of this meeting?" I ask them all.

"Jonas took my magic." Bonnie tells me.
