We were driving on the road. Not speeding, just slowly gliding through the roads. It was raining, and the ground was beginning to moisten. And then our car was taken off of the road, and thrown into the water below the bridge. My dad didn't speed, he never does. It was an accident.

The windshield was hot hard by the water, as a large crack split into it. Even though the doors and windows were shut, water began to spill through every crack and crevice. My dad banged against the window, trying to break it. Elena was screaming, and emptying every bit of emotion from her body. And my mom, she just sat there in silence. I could tell that she knew it was over, and she was ready.

I, however, began to panic. I mumbled to myself, what I said I can't recall. It's like there's a gap, one moment I was breathing heavily, the next I was completely submerged in water. I looked over at Elena, who sat there, barely holding on. She looks at me, as I begin to see the life leaving her eyes. 'I love you' she tries to say. I understand her, and repeat it back to her, as her eyelids shut.

Next, I glance at my mother. She's unconscious. My eyes adjust, I'm now looking at my dad, he's still banging at the window. I try continuously to call out to him. He finally turns around, noticing that I am still alive. He grabs my hand holding it tight. I think of everything I want to say, but my eyes are telling it all. He smiles, and nods at me. I smile back, and finally let my eyes shut. I feel my hands slide out of my dads hands, as everything becomes cold.

I feel it. Death. It hurts. So, so bad. I want it to stop. I begin to hear sirens approaching, as my name is being called out. "Blake! Blake!" My body shakes, as I begin to feel the harsh movement of someone trying to force me to wake. And I do. I awake.

I open my eyes as light blinds me. I squint trying to make out my surroundings. "Blake. Dammit Blake, wake up!" I hear the voice from before. Finally, the light fades. I'm in a hospital room.
     "Grayson?" I ask aloud.
"Blake! Thank god you're okay." He smiles.
"What happened?" I ask him. Then I begin to remember. Klaus. He tried to kill me. Or... he did kill me. "Oh my god. Am I... am I a vampire?"
"What? No, no, you are not a vampire." Grayson settles me down, sitting beside me.
"Then how am I still here?"
"Honestly, I have no clue. My best guess is that Bonnie did something to save you and your sister."
     "Wait, Elena? She's okay?"
"Yeah. She's fine." I release a large exhale, as I feel relief overwhelm my body.
"But, Blake. There's something you need to know," He begins, "Damon was but by Tyler Lockwood."
"What?" I ask. I try to sit up, but Grayson pushes me back down.
"He's fine, now. Stefan found a cure."
"He did? What was it?"
"Klaus' blood."
"Wait, then how were they able to get it? Klaus would never just hand that over to us."
"I know. That's where this he's tough..." I lean forward, waiting for him to just tell me, "in return for the cure to save Damon, Stefan gave himself over to Klaus." I feel my heart sink. "They left town a few hours ago." I lean back, setting my head down on the pillow.

At first I feel sad, but then I begin to feel angry. Klaus, this is all his fault.

I don't care how or when, but he's going to pay.

That's it! The end of season 2! I know that this chapter was short, but Blake can't really do anything while he's in the hospital.

I can also confirm that there are five chapters left in this book, and then we are onto the second book!
