My phone buzzes intensely, as the hotel table rattles from the vibration. I pick it up quick, seeing an unknown number pop up onto my phone. I turn around, hearing the shower water still running. Grayson won't notice if I answer this one call. I like accept, and hold the phone up to my ear.

"Hello?" I ask.

"Well, if it isn't the curse to my family. You are supposed to be dead." I hear the all too familiar British voice speak to me.

"Klaus? How did you--"

"Quiet, love. I'll be doing the talking tonight. I'm here at your school, with your sister, and everyone else participating in this petty prank gathering. Why don't you join?" Dang it. Senior Prank Day, I completely forgot. Even though I knew I'd be missing it, everyone is there. Elena, Caroline, Tyler, everyone I care about. And now Klaus is there.

"Why?" I ask, only choosing one of the thousands of questions circulating in my brain.

"Just a little bit of doppelgänger and alliance issues. I'll reveal more in person. And you better hurry, I'm sure you'd much rather want to go on your own rather than being retrieved." I hear Klaus snort on the other end.

"Fine. I'll be there." I say, before ending the call. I hear the bathroom door swing open behind me.

"Who was that?" Grayson asks. I turn around, seeing him wrapped in a towel.

"What do you mean?" I ask, pretending to be clueless.

"I'm a vampire, Blake. I could hear you on the phone."

"Well-- I, just--- can you at least just put some clothes on?" Grayson super speeds behind me. I jump, feeling his breath on the back of my neck. I turn around to see him fully clothed.

"Answer me, Blake." He demands.

"Fine. It's Klaus, okay? He's back in Mystic Falls." Grayson stays silent. "What? Not what you were expecting, huh?" I ask with attitude.

"You're not planning on going, are you?" He questions me.

"Of course I'm going, why would I not?"

"'Cause it's incredibly stupid of you. You're going to get yourself killed. And I won't be there to help." Grayson warns me. I feel a shiver down my spine. I think of everything that could possibly be happening right now.

"Grayson." I say, taking his hands into mine. "It's going to be okay. Klaus doesn't need us dead if he's able to make hybrids. I'm going to be fine, I promise. I'll make sure everyone is okay, in and out." Grayson takes a deep breath.

"You're not going to take no for an answer, are you?" He asks.

"Nope. Not a chance." Grayson sighs.

"Fine, I'll get you down. But I'm not going anywhere near Klaus. If he sees me, I'm dead."

"Understandable. Now, let's go. Quick." I rush Grayson out of the hotel.

I open the doors to the gym cautiously, as I slowly step in. There are cups spread out across the floor. I glance in every corner of the room, until I lay my eyes on Elena, curled up on the floor. "Elena!" I shout, as I begin to stumble over to her.

"Not so fast." Klaus cuts me off. I look up to see him sitting at the top of the bleachers. He quickly makes his way down. "You've missed out on quite a lot." I try to back away, but my feet won't move.

"What am I here for, Klaus?" I ask.

"Your presence will be revealed in due time, but for now, all you need to know is that I'm having trouble creating more hybrids. And the cause of that may just be the fact that your sister is still alive. So, your little witch is trying to find a way to reverse this, while your little wolf friend is going through... some trouble." He trails off.
