I leave without telling him. I don't know if that was a mistake or not. But if I told him, he would come with me, and I certainly didn't want. So, I left and ran all the way to the park.
I couldn't believe Coel found the solution so soon. And now I have to leave without a farewell. Grandma would be so tensed if she found out. And what about school? What about Eric? What about Adrien?
It felt terrible to leave like this. I stop just outside the park. I wasn't sure I could leave without a farewell. I need to tell them where I'm going so that they won't worry. I turn around to leave, but I stop mid-way, as if my mind telling me not to, but my heart saying something else.
What if I never get the chance to go back again?
"Ughh! This is so difficult to choose!", I scream in frustration.
"I knew it would be." Coel says, appearing behind me with stealth. I slowly turn around to face him. He would be so disappointed. But, I need to explain why I need time.
"Everyone here has been so nice to me. Except... A few times, I agree but I can't just leave without saying anything, when finally everything is back in it's place!", I reason and try to tell him how I feel.
"I knew it!" He screams, leaving me shocked. I've hardly seen Coel be this angry.
"What? What do you know?", I approach slowly.
"That it would be impossible for you to come back without telling them. So what if everything is back in it's place now?! It's not like you're living here forever. Then why?", Coel screams so loud, I almost jump at how angry he is now.
"But Coel, they took in an angel without knowing her true identity. They took so damn good care of me!" I argue, a little disappointed at how Coel wasn't ready to listen, wasn't ready to understand.
"What if they ask you where you are going? What if they ask to come with you so that they know you're safe?" He replies, asking me things I would have never thought of. I stay quiet and process the questions before I reply.
"I don't have the book." He sighs and holds his temple with his hands.
"What?" I look at him in astonishment. H-he lied?
"I called you here to see if you could leave them when the time comes. But you can't!", Coel shakes his head.
"Coel! How could you do that? Oh god! Adrien would be waiting for me! What do I do?", I panic. I run back home. Maybe Adrien's searching for me. Maybe be was angry again. Only if Coel had called at some other time!
I stop midway. He was right. I can't bring myself to just leave them. Look at me now! I left Coel behind without telling him anything.
Life as a human is so complicated! There isn't an instant that you don't have a dilemma.
"Trixie?", Adrien calls out.
I sigh. Adrien would be so mad. This is the second time. I need an excuse. Think Trixie! Think! I turned around to face Adrien. He was huffing.
"You said this wouldn't happen again. Right?" Adrien says, a tint of sadness in his voice.
Ahh! I can't think of anything!
"Why did you run away this time? Have you made it your goal to make me angry?" He sounds angry now. What do I tell him?
"No. I-I... Adrien, I found out about my family." I finally blurt out an excuse. I don't know why I said it but I was going back anyway, once I found the book.
"Oh.", he sounds disappointed for a second but puts on a smile.
"Then, are you going back?" He asks, still trying to put on a fake smile.
