13. Planned

I went next to Eric's side and looked at Daniel, cracking his fingers as though he has a plan stored in his mind to use against me.

He starts laughing and says, "Don't worry. We aren't going to bully you Trixie. I don't bully girls."

I rolled my eyes and scoffed at his comment. Some guy beside Daniel says, "We don't do it because it's our rule."

I raise my eyebrow in question at the guy who just spoke. I whisper to Eric and ask, "What's this guy's name?"

"He's Edward. The other guy is Andrew." He whispers back to me.

"All you have to do is not go out and distrub Adrien and Ashley. I've heard you always get in between them." Edward says.

"I don't! They hardly talk. How is it my fault then?" I argue.

"Don't say anything Trixie." Eric whispers. "They are just trying to get you to react."

I nod in response and ignore them.

After a while, Adrien comes back with Ashley. Her face doesn't look like she's happy. I wonder what they talked about. Adrien grabs my hand and pulls me outside.

He turns around and looks at Ashley and makes a face. She turns the other way so that he cannot see her. What was going on? Eric comes up to Adrien and asks him what happened but Adrien just ignores him and pulls me along with him outside the gym.

Outside, we see that Mr. Williams is busy on the phone. So, that's what he was doing while all this was happening. He couldn't see us as he had his back towards us. We went the opposite way and Adrien led me to up to class.

"What happened between you and Ashley?" I asked for the fifth time since we came here.

"You don't need to know that. But all you need to know is that you need to be careful of Ashley and Daniel. They know that we aren't cousins and they want to harm you."

"But Daniel doesn't even involve in all this then why him?"

"I feel he is with Heather and her gang. Which includes Ashley of course." He said. "I've heard that Heather and Ashley are quite close, that's why she's helping Ashley and has also asked Daniel to help her."

"But what have I done?" I asked.

"Nothing. But they feel like you are intruding."

"Intruding in what?"

"Look, Ashely told me that she likes me when we were outside. She feels like you are trying to keep me away from her."

"Yeah I know. But I'm not..."

"You know? How do you know?" He asked. Oh damn! I forgot that I didn't tell him about the cafeteria incident.

"That day, when you and Eric had to take laps because of what happened at gym, Ashley came and told me about her feelings towards you and asked me to back off."

"Why didn't you tell me?" He asked in anger.

"I thought, that you would be in trouble. So, I decided it was better if you didn't know."

He took a deep breath and said, "You should have told me Trixie. They will try their best to trouble you. So, always be by my side, okay?"

"But why? What are they going to do?" I asked.

"Have you never been bullied before?" He asked. "Oh right. Even if you did, you wouldn't remember."

I sat down in one of the seats in class and thought, what would happen if they bullied me? It's not possible it would be like putting trash in my locker or writing all over the board about me being a slut and so on, right? Like how it's shown in dramas?
