I open my eyes and see Adrien. I get up and kneel on a bed I was lying on and pull Adrien and hug him.
I solved it. I solved the riddle.
He cups my face in his hands and says, "I'm proud of you, Trixie." I smiled and pull his face closer to mine, foreheads attached and stay like that for a while.
"Where are we though?", I ask as I pull away.
"The human world.", he replies with a smile.
Wait, what? I look around and see that we're back at our house.
"The puzzle you solved... the king's queen was revived. But the light you saw, everyone saw it too. No one else seemed to be affected by it, except me. That's all I know.", he says.
"The light was golden. Representing love...", our eyes widen as I say it.
We smile together and he hugs me and I hug him back.
"Does this mean... I'm human forever now?", I ask.
"I don't know.", he says.
"I do.", a voice replies.
I turn to see Coel standing near the door.
"Coel...", I call out to him and smile.
"You will no longer be an Angel. The king sent me here to take your angelic powers and rename your black note.", he says slowly enough for me to process.
"The king is fine with me being an angel?", I ask.
"Trixie, you brought back the queen. Why wouldn't he?", Coel replies.
"I was aiming for something else. I thought that if I revived the queen, the king would be angry.", I say.
"Why would he be angry?", Adrien asks.
"The Queen was his weakness. He would want to kill her himself right? Isn't that why he was dying to revive her? So that he could kill her for good?", I ask confused.
Coel bursts out laughing. "You've watched too many dramas here Trixie."
Coel steps forward and holds my hand. "Ready when you are.", he says as he chants a few words to pull my powers out of me.
"Are you sure you're happy like this, Trixie?", Adrien asks.
"Of course I am!", I reply. "I have you."
He smiles and looks at Coel. He hugs him one last time, as after this he won't be able to.
I get up and hug Coel as well and kiss him on the cheek. "Thank you.", I say and take his hand.
A purple light is pulled out of my hand and suddenly I feel dizzy.
I hit the bed behind me and lie down. It's like my energy has been drained out of me.The powers I had since I was small, they are now no longer a part of me. They've been with me all my life, so without them, it feels like there's something missing.
I feel an empty void. Just like how when humans draw their blood and feel dizzy, I feel somewhat that way too.
I try to keep my eyes open, but my eyelids feel heavy. Adrien holds me up and embraces me in his arms as I fall asleep again. Before I completely lose consciousness, I hear Adrien whisper something to himself.
"Welcome home, Trixie."
