PLEASE READ!

A:  SORRRRRYYYYYY but I’ve had some stuff going on lately  (I won't bore you with the details), I hurt my hand, and I got into softball and I’ve never played before so I have to practice a lot to actually not be so bad haha, anyways please forgive and if you want me to continue writing show your support! I’ll try writing several chapters on the weekend so I can post during the week(:

Anyways, you guys have no faith in Alex! No faith at all! And I just realized something! I said Max is leaving tomorrow morning and I meant tomorrow night! Sorry, I’ll be fixing that. Anyways, I would like to remind you all that I have my chapter ideas planned before I post the one before it, so sorry if it’s not what some of you want. (Although I loveeee hearing your feedback and suggestions, I do tweak them and add them in sometimes)

Alrighty then.

Enjoy :D

Time seems to slow as he leans closer and right when he's milliseconds from connecting his plump pink lips on mine I stop him- putting my hand on his shoulder. I then proceeded to laugh nervously.

Max grins and rolls his eyes before swooping in and giving me a sweet, soft lingering kiss on the cheek.

“I was never going to kiss you Alex, it wouldn’t be right,” Max replies stretching back and leaning against the door frame.

                I stare at his nonchalance.

“Can’t take a little of holiday spirit?” He asks sarcastically rolling his eyes once again.

“What do you mean not right?” I whisper suddenly curious.

“Don’t play dumb with me Alex. Something’s going on in that little messed up love triangle of yours and you’re an awesome girl, but I wouldn’t want to make it a square,” Max laughs.

“W-what?” I choke out suddenly gasping for air.

He did not just say that…

“Look Alex all I’m saying is that you should really pick one of them. Leading a guy on is not nice, I know how they feel from experience,” he replies looking away when uttering the last part, “Anyways just, you know, don’t be too harsh on the other guy,”

And with that Max starts walking away. I grab his arm.

“There’s nothing going on between Mason and I. We’re just friends,” I clarify suddenly feeling a dire need to make that loud and clear.

“Friends. Sure, I know how that works. We were “just friends” for a while. But Alex I’ve known you since we were both in diapers! I know you. And “just friends” to you means you’re hiding something big with that guy that ties you both together,”

I watch him in awe, considering I haven’t had any connection with this guy in god knows how long (except for the occasional e-mail and such), he knows me well.

“Do you like some girl?” I blurt out.

Max cocks an eyebrow startled by my outburst before smiling, “Yeah, I do, but I would be stupid to tell you who it is,”

“And why’s that?” I inquire tapping my foot.

“Because it wouldn’t be long before you demanded to meet her and try to hook us up somehow making it awkward for her since she doesn’t know you and awkward for me because well, it’s you,”
