Almost the end O.O

~Alex~

                I run down the stairs and towards the door as someone annoyingly keeps on knocking.

                “I’m coming!” I yell for about the fifth time just to have the person keep on constantly knocking.

                “What is it?” I try not to snap as I throw the door open.

                Mason almost knocks on me, but stops his hand in midair and grins.

                “I know you’re kind of mad at me, but for the next hour it’s going to be like old times,” Mason states grabbing my wrist and pulling me out the door.

                I trip over my own feet as he excitedly starts to jog.

                “What’s going on?!” I yell exasperated.

                I mean first he barely talks to me, now he tells me he knows I’m mad at him, and then he drags me out of my house.

                “Just take a look at this beauty!” Mason screams almost pushing me into the shiny new blue and black R1 propped at the end of my driveway.

                I lightly touch the side of the bike. I have to admit it’s a pretty good looking motorcycle.

                “You finally got it,” I mutter.

                “Yeah,” Mason replies letting go of my wrist and rubbing the back of his neck, “I wanted you to be the first person I take on a ride,” I try not to chuckle at his nervousness.

                “Look,” Mason starts, “I know things got messed up, but just for an hour could you please,” Mason continues as I feel myself burst into laughter.

                “D-d-do you even know how to ride that thing?” I wheeze through my laughter.

                I watch as Mason smiles before whipping out his wallet and motorcycle license.

                “What do you think my parents were waiting for? I’m pro,” Mason immediately goes back to is over cocky kind of douche-y ways.

                And it makes it feel like old times.

                “Let’s go for a ride,”

~~~
                What was supposed to be an hour lasted almost all day and it felt great. We laughed and joked…and it felt just like all times.
                Mason drove down to the beach and I loved the feel of being on the bike. Sure it was a little uncomfortable to lean in so far, since it’s a sports bike, but the whoosh of the wind in my ears and the freeing feeling you get was definitely worth it.
                The speed and exhilarating breeze whooshed right through me and for just a moment I felt like I was flying. Now I know why Mason wanted a motorcycle so bad.
                After the ride Mason and I ran through the sand, splashing water on each other even though it’s cold and we don’t have any swimsuits, and then we got a hotdog at one of the stands. Shortly after sitting in the sand and taking a bite the seagulls decided to attack us so we ran to the parking lot. It was a really comical sight though; Mason and I running with our hands waving in the air and hotdogs dangling from our mouths while a flock of hungry seagulls chase after us.
