LLOYD P.O.V.~

I was running to my favorite comic store called Doomsday Comix at six in the morning. Why? Because a new Starfarer comic was coming out today and I just couldn't wait any longer. It was still dark outside, but to where I could see, so it wasn't a problem for me. I even forgot my coat because I was so excited, so I'm a little cold and you could see my breath.

After a few more minutes of running, I made it to Doomsday Comix. I knew the light would be on, so I stood at the door and knocked. I then waited for Rufus to appear.

I knew Rufus MacAllister, or better know as Mother Doomsday, for a few years. I would call him Rufus and he wouldn't mind because we knew each other for years. I would always go to his comic store, and I still do. I've always bought comics from him and Rufus would always be happy when I do.

After I got out of my thoughts, I smiled brightly and waved when Rufus came out and walked to the door. When Rufus opened the door for me, I quickly walked in and felt the warmth of the place.

"Lloyd. What did I tell you?" I looked at Rufus who was shutting the door. I smiled and held my comic books close to my chest and shrugged, making it look like I didn't know what Rufus was talking about. Rufus the smiled and ruffled my hair. "Bring your coat next time."

I laughed. "Sorry Rufus. I forgot."

Rufus smiled and walked to the front desk. "You always forget Lloyd."

I walked and sat next to Rufus behind the front desk in another chair that he usually kept out for me. I set my comics on my lap and looked up at Rufus.

"Did the new Starfarer comic come in yet? Please say yes."

Rufus looked at me and laughed, then ruffled my hair again.

"Sorry Lloyd, but they haven't come in yet."

I pouted and sighed. I really wanted them to be in now, but I could wait and keep myself occupied. I always do in Doomsday Comix.

"I guess I'll wait and read my comics I brought with me." I said, looking at Rufus and smiling. "I'll help you out in the store too."

"Thanks Lloyd." Rufus smiled. "Have you read the Grundle comic I gave you?"

I nodded and smiled. "Yes I have. I'm guessing you want proof?"

"Yes. Definitely." Rufus laughed and waited. I rolled my eyes and kept smiling because I thought it was pretty funny how Rufus was interested in the Grundle.

"The Grundle's real name is Dromaeosaurid Theropod Grundalicus and it's long extinct. The Grundle also hates light, which is why it usually lives in a cave, or any dark place for that matter." I told everything I knew and looked at Rufus to see if he was satisfied with my answer. When I did, Rufus was smiling and he reached over and ruffled my hair once again.

"Fantastic Lloyd! So you really did read it!" Rufus then laughed after he was finished ruffling my hair.

"Real nice joke Rufus, real nice." I said sarcastically while he was laughing, smiling and rolling my eyes in the process.

After Rufus was done laughing at his little joke, he stood up and stretched.

"Well, time to open the store." Rufus walked to the door and turned the sign around, making the "Yes, we're open" face the outside where everybody can see. Rufus then walked over to the counter, but instead he went to the back room.

"Hey Lloyd?" He raised his voice so I could hear him. I set my comics down and walked to the doorway of the back room.

"Yes?" I asked, looking at Rufus, who was facing me with a shirt like his.
