Babysitting A Little Brat Today (Kai x Lloyd)

KAI P.O.V.~

I woke up to the bright sunlight hitting my face. I yawned and sat up for a moment to give myself time to wake up, then I stretched and stood up. I looked in my mirror and fixed my hair up a bit, even though my hair wasn't really all over the place. I heard the sound of someone running down the hallway as I walked to my door. I opened my door and looked down the hallway, but didn't see anyone.

'Guess I wasn't fast enough.' I thought to myself as I walked down the hallway. I made it to the kitchen to get some water as I seen Zane washing a few dishes.

"Good morning, Kai." Said Zane, smiling at me. "How are you this fine morning?"

"I'm good, but still a little tired. I should wake up eventually though." I said as I grabbed a small glass and put some water in it. I took a sip and looked at Zane. "How are you?"

"I'm great today." Said Zane as he finished with the dishes. He then dried his hands on a towel.

"That's good." I said. Just then someone walked in and opened the fridge.

It was none other than Lloyd.

It was obvious from the very short stature that only wore an all black outfit with a purple belt, a green five, and some printed ribs on the front of his shirt. His little blonde bowl-cut was another way you could immediately tell.

"Lloyd?" I heard Zane say. "What are you doing?"

"Looking for something to eat."
Said Lloyd. "I thought it was obvious."

"You just ate breakfast." Said Zane after sighing. "You should have asked for more."

"Nah." Said Lloyd as he shut the fridge and opened a package that contained a green popsicle.

"I told you not to eat a popsicle in the morning, Lloyd." Said Zane.

"So?" Said Lloyd as he threw the wrapper at the trashcan which didn't even make it, but Lloyd didn't even decide to pick it up. It made me a bit irritated.

"So it's not good to eat in the mornings." Said Zane, still holding the towel he used to dry his hands.

"Well you're not my dad, so who cares what you say?" Said Lloyd as he licked the green popsicle and looked at Zane with his green eyes.

I looked over at Zane and seen him thinking. I could tell that Zane was irritated even though he really hid it well, but I've been living with him for so long so it's easy to tell. He was trying to search for something to say, but sighed.

"Just don't do it again." Said Zane.

"Or what?" Said Lloyd, licking the popsicle. "Going to tell my uncle?"

Oh my god... such a brat.

"Yes." Said Zane. "I'll tell Sensei Wu." I looked at him then back at Lloyd as he scoffed and rolled his eyes.

"Whatever." Said Lloyd then walked away, happily eating the green popsicle.

"What a little brat." I said. I looked at Zane after taking another drink of my water. "I'm surprised you didn't yell, even though yelling isn't your thing.

"Well he is a brat, but I wouldn't yell at him." Said Zane as he folded the towel and hung it up to be used again. "In my opinion, yelling won't do any good."

"Well being stern didn't help either." I said as I watched Zane walk over to the trash and kneel down.

"I know, but.." Zane started, but thought for a moment while picking up the popsicle wrapper. "I guess he'll just have to learn and get better as time goes on. It'll take time for him to even think about being nice, but it's Sensei Wu's nephew.. we'll just have to adjust and hopefully be able to have a better relationship with Lloyd."
